LINK

It was discussed yesterday at Gus’ press conference that Ashley is still on the team and expected back in January. Hope it is true.

Cant wait to see him ride the bench next year for the 5'5 RB

God damn you're insufferable and blind to good talent. Measurables aren't everything. That 5'5" rb out ran all of bamas defense during the iron bowl. Bet you didn't see that did you.

Too bad it didn't count.

Also he averaged 2.7 yards per carry in that game. That is Kam Martin level talent right there

It being called back doesn’t change the fact that it showed he can be effective against elite defenses.

I think those little fellas can be sneaky good. Hell, it must be hard to see them behind that line.

I would like the running back to looks like this.

This is what brannigan does. He finds a player and hates on him every opportunity he can, regardless of how rational or irrational it may be. He does the same thing with his praise for a player (J. Wallace).

I imagine that any LBs we take will be middle linebackers for the 19 class. We’ve got 2 pretty good OLBs on board already for 2020

Well that sucks.

I do not really know a a lot about recruiting. If we lose him, how would you say this class is stacking up?

Overall the class is pretty damn solid. Only problem, and one that we seem to have a couple years going now, is that we swing and miss on a position of need.

Always sucks to miss on high quality OL guys. On the other hand, he’s an interior guy and that’s where we are deepest. Really needed a few OTs early in the class for Putnam not to matter and honestly that’s probably hurting us in his recruitment.

Exactly my point. He's explosive as hell. Will he be the bell cow? Prob not. But he has the talent to earn some touches. Brannigan just looks at his height and scoffs which makes him an idiot. Plenty of players have proven through the years that size isn't everything.

Jeff Grimes is an OC now. And I think he steps into too much credit for that senior OL we had in 2010. Those were all BBQ gang recruits.

His AU recruits:

Westerman
Roszell Gayden
Jordan Diamond
Patrick Miller
Shane Callahan
Craig Sanders (went to the DL)
Kozan

Outside of Kozan that’s a pretty rough list

This class is outstanding except for the hole that is the OL. Problem is that was a hole lack cycle as well & given struggles up front this past season, it's easy to see why that concern has many people down on this class despite everywhere else looking really good

It's gonna come down to how they close. There's no sugar coating fact AU missed on the majority of their top OL recruits which is never good. But if they can snag 2-3 more by February, even if one is a grad transfer, then at least there are pieces in the pipeline that could develop.

Losing out on Putnam sucks though considering how good AU was feeling just like 2 weeks ago
