Are the recruits hearing that Malzahn is safe? We really haven’t had any looking around (knock on wood) from Pappoa and our other recuits (minus Pickens) which is impressive. Pickins sticking will be impressive as well. Especially given the way our offense looks compared to Bama’s.

Keith's take
quote:

I don't think it is crushing Auburn at this time. AU has been hammering it home to these recruits that he'll be around with his long-term deal.

If AU loses thise weekend and the noise gets louder, it absolutely will have an impact.

Fields is frustrated, as a true freshman, sitting behind Fromm, who is doing quite well.

Auburn on the other hand has a struggling starter for almost the entire season and Willis has seen duty just like they have given Fields, and Joey Gatewood has not even sniffed the field. Yeah right, Fields will come to Auburn. Lets try and woo him to Auburn, fail, and lose Bo to Ga in the process, who takes Pickens with him, so we can be in this shat storm for another two years.

I can tell it was late when you wrote this, So I forgive you for dreaming Nix would go to GA.

Nix will go no where but AU. And who knows about Pickens.

Fields is just a fan's wish. Who knows who was second on his list when recruited.

But to know Fromm is only a soph and will start even next year barring injury, tells me Fields either simply bleeds Red and Black or he was foolish to think he would beat him out.

So we are going to try to get Fields. He will stay at UGA. Bo will then decide he wants to sit behind Fromm and Fields.

This just isn’t even logical.

Some thoughts from Wilfong this morning

- CB'd 3* DB Nehemiah Pritchett to AU after talking to a source on his recruitment
- 5* WR Jadon Haselwood, 5* LB Nakobe Dean, 4* RB Mark-Antony Richards & 4* CB Raydarious Jones (Dean's teammates) all expected on campus
- Still sees MIA as leader for Haselwood
- Thinks UGA is team to beat for Dean
- Put in CB for PSU recently on Richards but watching this OV closely
- Jones is intriguing visitor for Tigers this week

Internally, we must see a major gap at CB.

Agreed. I also think they might be worried Jamel Dean and/or Javaris Davis going pro

Plus AU's base defense is basically a hybrid 4-2-5/3-3-5 & also play a ton of Dime so 5-6 DBs are used pretty regularly

Thanks Paw, I was being facetious. But good grief, we are set at QB no reason to go chasing windmills....now offensive line, thats a different story.

New name to watch on the OL: 3* OT Isaiah Hookfin

AU has apparently been evaluating and finally offered last night. KN seems to think Tigers will be a major player

Behind paywall at Rivals but interesting article on 5* WR Jadon Haselwood

Plans to be at AU this weekend for an OV. Says he doesn't have leader despite ppl thinking he does since he went to MIA after decommitting. Admits that Justin Fields playing would really help UGA. His thoughts on AU are really encouraging. Believes AU is doing more with less right now ( ) & the he & Pickens together would be a ton of fun. Says enough balls to go around in that offense. Plans to announce commitment January 5th at the All-American All Star Game

I know none of us here agree but I'll take him thinking AU offense is doing the best it can with current talent & that he could step on field day 1 to change it if he signed here

If he believes that, I’m convinced the staff could sell me ice in Anarctica.

What part of 2019 Football Recruiting Thread, did you not understand TT? My comment was about recruiting, not current performance. Surely one cant be that obtuse?

According to several UGA posters, if Fields is indeed transferring then UGA is going to lose even more commits than Hasselwood and Emery, possibly 5 or 6 total. Nolan Smith is one they keep mentioning. Despite their record, it's a very interesting situation going on over in Athens right now.
