#1 juco LB Lakia Henry plans to OV AU, along with UF and Bama. He's committed to Tennessee and seems fairly solid. He did tell Luke Stampini that he was an "auburn fans since he was young"

aka - I really like Cam Newton and he went to Auburn so I rooted for them in 2010.

Thread on the rant got me thinking. Why can't Gus leverage his position with the Trussville coach to recruit that school?

Noah Igbinoghene was a 4* from Trussville. Ja’Varrius is a 3* that is likely to be bumped to a 4* in this class.

These in state kids growing up Tide fans are going to go to Bama if they get offered. That coach, while grateful I’m sure for Gus’s connections, isn’t being paid by Gus. The coach didn’t go to Auburn. He probably loves it when those kids sign with Bama

Also like almost all of those kids transferred in this offseason including AU's commit

Honestly at this point if we can just hang on to the big targets we already have committed I'll be surprised. You know everyone is going to be in the ears of Pappoe, Pickens etc.

Pickens

I'm honestly not even counting him in this class. No way he sticks. This is pathetic.

Some recruits just love Auburn for Auburn not because of the coach. I hope most of these current ones will stay!

I don't either. The defensive guys I'm not too worried about. That side of the ball has at least shown some sort of cohesion this season. Offensive guys? I have no idea why any would want to come play in this outdated system unless they just grew up wanting to don the orange and blue. Even then, if they want to go to the NFL, this system hasn't proven to put players there.

So any updates? I would imagine KN has some interesting quotes from recruits this week.

Will post more update later this week but some early highlights

- Wanya Morris seeems all UT. Said it was hard for him to not cheer for Vols during game

- Noah Cain says sees major need at AU for elite back. Spent a lot of time with Bo Nix, George Pickens, Keiondre Jones & Owen Pappoe. Says Bo talks to him nearly every day

- Turns out Pickens was in AU this weekend not at LSU

- Zion Puckett says wont' take OVs anywhere else. Enrolling early & will start out at CB/Star

I thought our whole plan for losing yesterday to show him we needed him more than UT?!
