Yet to be seen from the high-school level.

certainly true on the HS level, but Auburn DID do a great, great job with Nick Marshall. He was significantly better as a thrower of the football by the time he left here.

He broke a lot of high school records in Georgia passing the ball. But, he sucked donkey balls in JR College so make your pick

The division that Nick played in in high school is comically bad. He could have thrown left handed and still had pretty good stats.

Nick was good in junior college. You have to look past the interceptions because his defense allowed an average of over 50 points a game

Continuously turning the ball over and giving the other offense more opportunities to score isn’t exactly going to help your defense out.

I don’t expect you to go back and look at the box scores like I did when we recruited him out of JC, but he was chunking the ball down field all game to get back in the game

By no means am I saying he was a gifted passer but he played to win

We need to just agree that Gus did a lot with Nick the two years he had him. It was a perfect fit for both of them and it worked like a charm. In all honesty, Nick was a better fit than Cam was. Cam was just a freak athlete who was unstoppable.

Gus did a outstanding job with Nick Marshall.

If you know you need to score everytime, you take more chances.

If your defense is bad enough, a turnover doesn't really hurt you. They get a shorter field? Who cares they were going to score anyways.

See 2014 Steve Spurrier vs Auburn. Went for it on pretty much every 4th down no matter the field position and it almost worked.

Mods might as well change the title to "Did Gus make Marshall a better QB argument."

4* ATH Zion Puckett told KN he plans to make his commitment the week of August 17th. AU is still the team to beat with Tennessee now running #2. Says he's sure he wants to commit before the season. He wants to major in mechanical engineering & feels like he can play day 1 for AU. He's close to Bo Nix (they are on same 7v7 team, thanks Cam!) but is former teammates with Brodarious Hamm

That week is gonna be fun. Colby Wooden & Zion Puckett

Nope although it's ridiculous the NCAA made the entire month a dead period. Should have made the 15-31 a quiet period so coaches could at least go out & see the games in August. There are a lot of good ones this month staffs should be able to go see but can't because the NCAA made August a dead period starting last year.
