It seems that the majority of people on this board are fine with finishing in the 8-12 range of recruiting each yr. Some of us aren't. 2010 and 2013 were amazing and surprise yrs because of Cam and Marshall. AU is only "lucky" in the eyes of many. So unless we are lucky again, you guys that settle should not get too upset when we lose 3/4 games each yr and Bama and UGA battle it out each yr for #1.

Whew...thanks for calling the rest of us to accountability. For a minute I thought we might accept mediocrity.

Auburn University has between 5-8 seasons in its history where it could legitimately claim a National Title. Auburn University has won 12 conference titles, including 8 in the SEC. Auburn University has 12 undefeated seasons in its history. In the modern era Auburn University has had a team each decade that either won a national title or played at a level where a selector chose them as National Champion. In that same time frame Auburn University has also played for another national title losing in the final 13 seconds. Auburn University sells itself.

Unfortunately, Auburn University doesn't exist in a vacuum. Auburn University plays in the toughest conference, in the toughest division and recruits against all the big boys of CFB. Auburn University doesn't benefit from the political or name recognition of being the "State" school. Please don't bring up Clemson, because the similarities in our situations end with our mascot name.

The difference between #8 and #4 in the recruiting rankings can often be as small as a single player. In the end...name a single team we have played in the Gus era where you felt the other team was significantly more talented? I'll answer. We haven't played them yet. Take a Xanax and enjoy the privilege it is to be a part of the Auburn family.

This shite is dumb. We aren't losing 3/4 games each year because we are recruiting in the 8-12 range.

FWIW WDE says we lead for Diabate now.

Also said this on Jakai Clark FWIW...

Told our staff he couldn't get a ride and was going to stay home Friday. Went to UT. Could have rode with OP. Clark is on flip watch now. Our staff is not happy about this at all.

This makes me happy. If we traded Clark to UT for Wanya that would be legendary

I agree Clark is mediocre. I still believe we only offered him for Wanya and OP. I assume UT is doing the same after hearing Wanya is waivering.

Obviously Clark was just there to badmouth UT to Wanya.

Diabate, Hall, Wooden, Curry, and Puckett would put us at #4 with 18 commits. Ahead of Clemson who have 22.

I was never impressed with Clark, as long as OP stays then I'm good with him leaving.

Now that's a surprise. I've had 2 people close to his family say no way he lands at AU. T-WILL must really be working some magic

Dumb of Clark if true. Is he even a take for Tennessee? I like Clark but he's definitely not a must have. Was hoping he would help with Wanya but seems to be going other way. He's been an active recruiter for AU tho so I would be a little surprised if he flipped
