That wasn't a recruiting issue. Despite Gus running his lead horses to death the not having a replacement for KJ is on Pettway for wanting to be stoned out of his mind more than being a team player enough to use it in moderation.

Hey Paw. Can you edit the title to read "yet another QB/RB derailment" edition?

We’re not too far off recruiting. Relax, E

Comments bitching about getting off topic get us further derailed than what the comment is usually bitching about.

Uh.... It's the same offense

If we run the same offense this year with Stidham, somebody should be fired. It’s easy to say “it’s the same offense” because when we have a true duel threat qb we run about 4 different plays and those 4 plays still exist with Stidham. However, with Stidham we have, or should have, about 30 other plays to go with it....

That gif is perfectly placed to make Lebowski look like he’s catching a glimpse up the cheerleader’s skirt .

Hope stidham has worked on his happy feet and throwing the ball away instead of taking big loss sacks like last season.

Which is what Im saying. If he is allowed to run the 2013 offense with Run first options, he will be more of a fit than the current stuff with all the swing passes and screens. He would be better in a pure run / Read option.
with zero threat of completing a pass over 10 yards from the line of scrimmage

I’m not one to base anything off of a spring game, but Malik Willis looked awful throwing the ball downfield. He has a long way to go, but that should be expected, IMO. We know Gus’ track record with high school quarterbacks versus transfers.

That wasn't bitching FTR. I had a whole tirade typed up. It took so long for me to type it that just typing it felt good so I deleted it.

I will just visit Paw's posts page from now on to see recruiting stuff. Carry on.

I think the injury might be the best thing that happened to Jarrett. He has been seeing things from a coach's perspective this offseason, and hopefully that will help his decision making. I understand they have already given him more control to audible out of plays, and I am sure this experience has been a factor in that

If we could run the ball like we did in 2013, I would care less if we ever completed another pass but I know where you are going and lets hope that wouldn't be the case. Nick was no real pass threat at first either and that worked out OK. Malik didnt look good in the spring but hell, nobody did. Hard to judge with that Offensive line playing against that defense and the QB not being able to run. Surprise was a big part of it,

Not sure its going to matter though, dont think we will see the offense tooled like 2013-2014 anytime soon anyway

Don't be so sensitive about everything. For how much you post on message boards, I'm surprised by how fast you get your feelings hurt.

The RB recruiting issue has been discussed at nauseum. Yes do OK but we are not getting the elite RB recruits. Fact. Last yr we had no replacement for Kerryon and it hurt us down the stretch. Loss to UGA and UCF. Fact.

You can't tell these guys anything, even though the proof was right there for them to see.
