Pickering was the DL I wanted the most, but he seemed like a long shot anyway. Sucks to not get him, but I think we are pretty set at DT with Handy and Gordon.

Ya he's the best of that MS DL group. Just could never get him back on campus

Ya they gonna reel in Emery soon who is my favorite back in this class. Are loaded at DL already and a major threat to beat us out for Derick Hall
And very well may hold on to Charles Moore.

KN gave an update on both Coynis Miller & Kayode Oladele

- Miller is still a few weeks away from completing what he needs to complete (guessing a class) to enroll but his HS coach is confident he will report later this summer. KN says AU seems confident he will too

- Oladele is waiting on NCAA to clear him (KN doesn't know for what) & if they do he will be up as soon as possible (possibly even this weekend)

KN says AU feels good about both making it in

Ya that's always felt like an uphill battle. Fact new staff stuck with his commitment despite his ACL tear really seems to have endeared family to them. Keep getting him on campus tho & anything can happen

Also KN CB'd Donte Starks to LSU. Not a surprise but still makes me sad....

Not sure how LB recruiting shakes out. Interested to see if after dead period we can get Trezman Marshall back on campus. Also still feel like Ge'Mon Eaford ends up in this class

New commit saying he's still taking his official visits and will enjoy the recruiting process.

After he said he was shutting it down?

Disagree. It is our Malzahn's job to beat UGA at least 50% of the time and to beat Saban at least once every 3 years or so. I accept no excuses. They are our biggest rivals. If we need better recruiting to beat them, then so be it. Is it realistic? I don't know, but I am an Auburn fan.

If you want better recruiting, stop sabotaging his recruiting efforts by openly bitching about him. I don't know if you, specifically, do that, but many of the AU fanbase did/does and that directly hurt recruiting. Can't have it both ways.

Ha! Ok, because this site is SOOO powerful that recruits regularly visit it and then decide not to commit to AU because of what people here say? Give me a fricking break.

Regardless, nothing I said in the post You quoted was negative about Gus. I simply said he has no excuses.

I'll give you that - Gus does not have many excuses for losing to UGA and Bama consistently, when he has recruited at this level and has comparable talent to those teams.

I would say we need better player development & retention. And those things are realistic, more so than consistently out recruiting UGA & Bama. Just my .02.

I would like to see more young players making an impact.

It seems when we have a highly recruited freshman we have special "roles" for them instead of just letting them play.

Very much agree. I get if you have a young RB that isn't great in pass protection, you don't put him in on big pass plays, but we basically give them 1-2 plays that they are allowed to run. By the middle of the season, it is stupid obvious what will happen when they get in the game.

Defense we do a much better job of rotating young guys into the rotation, and it has paid off in spades.
