Looks like Shivers had himself a day! 216 yards rushing and a couple of TDs in a championship game is beast mode territory!

So any reason not to think KS learned how to cheat under the surface from NS? UGA is cleaning up.

Of course he did and I don't blame em, everybody is cheating some and it's about who does it best.

KN put an a recruiting insider today with some interesting stuff. Here's summary

- KN says obviously Herb Hand is spreading a wide net. He's focused a lot on Trey Hill & Richard Gouraige but apparently while in Florida visiting Gouraige he also stopped to visit 5* OT Nicholas Petite-Frere, 4* OT Williams Barnes & 3* OG Ed Montilus. Says Barnes & Montilus might be a pair to watch with the coaching turnover at UF. FYI they are teammates at Chandler Cox's old high school. Petite-Frere might be a Bama lean at this time. KN says these are 3 names to keep an eye on

- Travis Williams visited 4* LB Quay Walker again today. He visited him Friday as well. Walker plans on officially visiting in January

- Malzahn visited 4* CB Christian Tutt this week the day after Ubran Meyer stopped by. AU feels good about holding on to Tutt who signs on Dec 20th

- Get excited Randy, apparently AU has not given up on 4* CB Jalyn Armour-Davis. The combo of Pruitt leaving (who apparently he was really close with), Bama landing more CB commits & fact he doesn't plan on signing early has given AU some hope they can make a push. Sounds like chance he could visit in January

- AU apparently REALLY like 3* CB Benjie Franklin. He will OV in January & AU likes their chances

- 4* DE Kayode Oladele & 4* WR Anthony Schwartz had their OVs push back by AU staff. Apparently this was intentional so staff could focus solely on early signers this upcoming weekend. Says AU still really want both & aren't slow playing. KN also says keep an eye on FSU with Oladele now that Taggart is their HC

- Sounds like if AU doesn't flip 4* QB Emory Jones they will just settle with only Joey Gatewood in this class & are all in on Bo Nix in 2019

So how do you go from going boner city over AU while they are whooping UGA arse and talking shite about UGA to signing with them in a month?

Obvious plant.

So do we go back after Tank now?

High school kids are easily manipulated... esp ones with not the most stable home situations, like many athletes have (this is a general statement, not specific to Hill).

Don't have to cheat when you're a state school in a talent rich state. These kids grow up Dawg fans. This is why scouting and talent evals are crucial for our success because we will rarely haul in the better classes than the state schools (on paper)

There will always be exceptions and we usually do really good with those guys but there will always be more kids that grow up in bama / lsu / uga / UF households. Tubbs was great at scouting talent and getting the most out of 3*s. Malzahn has done good with his classes. Outside of QB recruiting

I know trust me. Just seems weird for a kid like Hill who less than a month ago was all over social media and interviews talking about how glad he was AU whipped UGA. Doesn't sound like someone who grew up a UGA fan but here less than a month later he's going to commit to them.

Anyway, just saw on another board Grimes (LSU OL coach) might leave for BYU OC, wonder if this might give us a chance to get back in with Traore?

One of the people he was giving crap to was his Dad though, so his family are obviously UGA fans. When you have a 50/50 race the player is generally going to lean towards family in the end most of the time.

KN says AU happy with in home visit tonight. However they aren't sure who Hill will pick tomorrow and somewhat concerned with timing of announcement

Not looking good right now but here's to hoping coaches brought some cash tonight
