KN says expects Jibunor will commit some point this week. Unsure of day

Also says King Mwikuta was back on campus. Turning into AU/Bama battle with Tide probably still in lead but he will be back for 3rd straight weekend for Iron Bowl

AU just offered 2019 DE Colby Wooden. Archer is loaded with 2019 talent especially at DB. They got a possible 5* CB in Patrick Booth & a really good safety prospect in Jalyn Phillips

Well if UF is actually hiring Chip Kelly I would expect Schwartz is a goner now

Just means we get Seth Williams and Justyn Ross

Chip may go to UCLA. I believe a better fit for him out west.

Alabama has apparently offered Michael Parker. Both Hank South & KN have CB'd him to Bama

Glad this is out of the way early on & not happening in February. Hopes it means turn the heat up on Tyneil Hopper who I have always liked the most anyway

Now lets convince Joiner to be an H-Back, we get our TE he gets to play running back and receiver, and we call that a day.

Just show him that throwback to Kerryon this past week...this could be you my friend...here's where you sign.

Would be perfect but ain't gonna happen. Joiner sees himself as a bellcow back & the next Derrick Henry. He's going to LSU most likely

KN put up an update on TE recruiting with the recent Parker news. Says 4* Luke Ford is officially visiting for the Iron Bowl but as of now looks like a two team race between UGA & BAMA with the Dawgs in front. However, a HR visit Saturday could make things interesting for AU. Does not sound like AU will pursue #1 JUCO TE Dominick Wood-Anderson after all. Staff feels like he just likes playing games & are moving on. FWIW dude told like 3 different staffs he was committing to them including Bama before randomly committing to Texas. KN says OKST commit 3* Nic McTear could be someone to watch if he ends up visiting. Doesn't sound like AU is gonna push for Hopper because they are looking for someone with more size. Hopper is only 6'2" (disappointed, think this dude could be awesome). KN thinks AU will hit the JUCO circuit hard after season ends to find a TE ala Cannella last year. Says that AU's strong finish could make them a more enticing option for other bigger names despite the lack of big numbers from TE

FWIW Chandler Cox operates as the TE would in Lindsey's system. Lindsey wants a more hybrid player that can block like Cox but also be a threat in passing game. Cox already has more catches this season than last so maybe staff can at least pitch idea that we are throwing ball to a fullback imagine what we will do with a true TE

How Auburn commits, targets fared in their high school playoff games (SECCountry)
quote:

Auburn targets in Alabama high school state playoffs

Auburn wide receiver target Justyn Ross highlighted the Alabama group with his second-round performance. Central-Phenix City defeated Lee-Montgomery 42-14 in large part because of Ross’ big night. He hauled in 4 receptions for 61 yards. Three of those were touchdowns, including a one-handed grab that was so highlight worthy that SportsCenter tweeted it out (ranked No. 8 in the top-10 plays). Central moves on to the 7A semifinals to play McGill-Toolen.

Here's link to catch by Ross

Hoover dismantled Hewitt-Trussville 56-21 to advance to the state semifinals on the other side of the 7A bracket, where the Bucs will take on Thompson, which includes 2019 prospects Taulia Tagovailoa and Amari Kight. In the quarterfinal win, Auburn commits Shedrick Jackson and George Pickens both snagged touchdowns. Jackson caught a 49-yard touchdown on Hoover’s first offensive play of the game. Pickens had a one-handed, 23-yard reception for a score. Auburn 2020 receiver target Dazalin Worsham caught a 72-yard touchdown pass for Hewitt-Trussville.

Nice catch by Pickens

I think Jackson is a great fit in our offense. Gus loves to have that deep threat & Jackson can fill that role once Slayton leaves
