Auburn targets Michael Parker, Tank Jenkins and Richard Jibunor should be placed on commit watch (SECCountry)

Top Auburn TE target closing in on commitment
The Iron Bowl could end up being a major conflict of interest for Michael Parker.
He has two brothers. Jacob is a senior walk-on tight end for Alabama, just like his other older brother was. As a result, plus other factors, Parker grew up a rabid fan of the Crimson Tide.
But Parker could soon have ties to both sides of the Iron Bowl rivalry. He wants to make his college decision soon. Auburn may be his top choice.
If he decides within the next week and a half, it could make for a fun, yet conflicting, event in Jordan-Hare Stadium for the Auburn-Alabama game.
“Man, that’ll be tough because I’ll obviously have brothers on one side of it,” Parker said.
So how close could Parker be to joining the “other side” of the rivalry?
Well, he’s visited Auburn for three games so far this year. As he’s narrowed down his college options, it’s down to Auburn, Central Florida and Purdue. The 6-foot-5, 230-pound tight end has evaluated all his options — the Tigers especially — and feels like he’s on the cusp of making his college choice.
“[Auburn coaches], they’re just letting me make my decision. Obviously, they really want me, but it’s just kind of on my own time. I’ve definitely built a really good relationship with them,” Parker said. “I think I’m pretty close. I’d probably say within the next one and a half or two weeks.”
At the Georgia game, Parker received the same level of attention he always does, which proves his priority in this class.
He spent extensive time talking to tight ends coach Larry Porter. Parker spoke with offensive coordinator Chip Lindsey at length. He even received some face-to-face time with Gus Malzahn prior to the game.
The whole experience helped solidify Auburn in his mind — with a decision fast approaching.
“I wouldn’t say it changes or helps it, but I mean, I already had a really good perception,” Parker said.
He’s not an early enrollee, but Parker and his family will talk about the potential of signing in December.

In-state OL looks ready to pull trigger on Auburn
If Tank Jenkins hadn’t hesitated before, he may already be in Auburn’s 2018 class. It’s quite possible he will land in it anyway.
The Park Crossing (Ala.) offensive guard opened up about a summer trip to Auburn when he felt in his heart it was time to commit. His mother told him to hold off to take trips to Oklahoma, Louisville and others. Jenkins obliged.
Now that more time has passed, Jenkins been persuaded even more the Tigers.
“I was about a couple inches close [over the summer]. I had a talk with my mom and she stopped me from doing it,” Jenkins said. “’I’m about a week or two. Now we already took enough time. It’s time for a decision to be made.”
Jenkins was particularly blown away after the Auburn-Georgia game.
He spent some personal time talking with offensive line coach Herb Hand. A few of Auburn’s commits passed the information along to me that they thought Jenkins could be on commit watch at the game. That didn’t happen, but according to Jenkins, he’s ready to finalize his decision — and Auburn looks like the clear leader.
“It’s coming soon. It’s coming soon,” Jenkins said.
Here’s the caveat with Jenkins’ decision.
Had he made this choice over the summer, when he was originally ready, Auburn likely would’ve taken him in a heartbeat. Now Auburn — with two interior linemen already committed — feels its chances with 4-star offensive guard Trey Hill are rising. Hill and Jenkins are similar prospects, so the Tigers must answer whether they’d want to take both Jenkins and Hill or just one, which could delay Jenkins’ pick.
“We didn’t talk too much about that,” Jenkins said. “We’re going to sit down and talk about it.”
Jenkins will be back for the Auburn game this weekend against Louisiana-Monroe. He’ll return for the Iron Bowl. If the the Tigers feel ready to take him, Jenkins will likely pounce on the opportunity.
He’s still expected to take official visits to Auburn, Oklahoma and Louisville. Jenkins will sign in December, but he won’t be an early enrollee.
Not sure how I feel about taking 4 interior OL prospects. I mean I like Jenkins (not as much as Hill) but just seems like a lot of ppl on the interior. But then again a lot of our interior talent is getting older. Harrell, Horton, Kim & Carr will all be juniors next year. After them it's really Nick Brahms and that's it so maybe it does make some sense

Richard Jibunor finally seems ready for a decision
As is often the case, Richard Jibunor provided the top quote from the Auburn-Georgia game.
Take this one for instance.
“Best game I’ve ever watched Auburn play live in all my entire time watching them play a game,” Jibunor said Saturday night. “I got my Auburn T-shirt on me. I’m going to wear it to school Monday. I don’t need to wash it, man. I’ve been hugging almost all the players. I need to go to school with it like that so they can feel it.”
Everything Jibunor does, he does it with pure joy and excitement, especially when he’s at Auburn.
Jibunor has held off on committing for quite a while. He seemed poised to do it over the summer, but waited. There were times throughout the football season he claimed he was on the verge, but waited. Now Jibunor has labeled November as his decision month, and it’s halfway complete.
He seems more ready than ever to get it done.
“I feel good with Auburn,” Jibunor said. “I was just trying to witness to see they way they fight.”
Expect Jibunor to be back for the Iron Bowl. It could be an official visit. If it is, I’d expect that to be the final item necessary to urge Jibunor to commit.
I had a source tell me they’re convinced Jibunor will choose the Tigers, but the staff isn’t sure why he’s waited so long. They’d like him to jump in the class sooner rather than later, so they can direct their attention to other uncommitted prospects in this class.
Dude really needs to get on board. Worried ppl close to him are trying to get him to hold off considering he lives in Athens but that's just wild speculation

Do not want Parker unless he's a great blocker.

Staff seems in love. Honestly I like Tyneil Hopper more
At end of day won't matter because we won't throw him the ball

Speaking of TE recruiting KN had an update the other day. AU feels good about landing Michael Parker but aren't being complacent. They are hosting 4* Luke Ford on an OV for the Iron Bowl. UGA is thought to be the leader but KN points out that UGA hasn't really used the TE much either so they don't have a major selling point either. Could get interesting. But also says a new name has emerged in 4* JUCO Dominick Wood-Anderson. He's probably gonna OV at some point. He was committed to Texas but recently decommitted. His recruitment has been a mess with him silently committing to like everybody. Alabama & USC are considered his top group but AU is trying to make a run

Is that juco OT looking like he will end up here?

Also KN had update on one of my favorite player in the 2019 class 4* Ramel Keyton. He came away really impressed with AU & mentioned how awesome the student section was at the game. Keyton says us along with Clemson, Ohio State, Tennessee & Florida are in his top group. He's being recruited mainly by Tim Horton (area recruiter) & Kodi Burns. Says he will probably be at the Iron Bowl
Pretty sure Clemson is team to watch here but we will see. This dude has some of the best hands I have seen for a HS WR. Catches everything. He also had a great response to AU's win over UGA saying "I'm just tired of Georgia, man"

Probably LSU tho AU still in the race. Just doesn't seem like a lot of confidence on our side
The last hope at OT will probably Wonnum who will hopefully be on campus for Iron Bowl. Otherwise probably taking a major project at OT. Just not many top OTs this cycle & the few there are just aren't interested enough in AU

Probably just me, but it seems like a lot of state of Georgia kids don’t like UGA.

Didn't realize he was once ranked a 5*
I could be wrong, but I think at one point he was the #1 CB in the nation until he started slipping. I keep telling everyone that as good as he is he isn't even the best in his region, but no one is listening yet lol. Still glad to have Tutt and think he will be a good player for us though.

Seems to be correct

Thomson sophomore Christian Tutt, rated the #1 cornerback prospect in the country in the class of 2018 by 247sports, has transferred back to Thomson High School. The 5-star recruit had transferred to IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida in January. At the time he told WJBF Sports, “I have to get my body right for the next level, not only physically but mentally.”

JLee says he now thinks Justyn Ross is leaning AU after Clemson lead for a long time
Also sounds like he is thinking Quay Walker and Trey Hill too

Am i crazy to want Seth Williams over Justyn Ross?

I don't mind taking him. He's sneaky athletic and can play at 6'6 265lbs. I doubt we ever start targeting a TE but you have to think once Cox is gone Chip is going to start using a guy like Parker as the Hback.

No I don't think so. I think Ross has the higher ceiling but Williams is really freaking good too
That's why I want both just to be safe
