Auburn increasing interest in dual-threat QB (Rivals)
So it sounds like we are taking a 2nd QB no matter what and Lindsey is evaluating a few guys. A lot of good QB talent in the state of GA this year. Wouldn't be made about signing two 6'4"+ dual threat QBs this class

AUBURN | A.J. Curry learned two things of importance while visiting Auburn on Saturday: the Tigers plan to sign two quarterbacks in the 2018 class, and Curry could be one of them.
Curry, a 6-foot-5, 205-pound dual-threat quarterback at Habersham Central in Mount Airy, Ga., met with Auburn offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach Chip Lindsey before the Tigers’ 44-23 win over Ole Miss.
“I didn’t expect to meet him before the game, so for him to come up and talk to me and my family, to introduce himself and his family, that was pretty great,” Curry said.
Curry's parents and younger brother Donovan, who is a junior wide receiver at Habersham Central, also made the trip to Auburn. So did Curry's uncle and cousin, Arien, a sophomore at Habersham Central.
Auburn has a commitment from four-star Joey Gatewood, but Lindsey plans to add one more before Signing Day in February.
“(Lindsey) said he’ll take one more quarterback, and to be patient," Curry said. "This is my first year to play quarterback, so he wants to see what else I can do and what else I bring to the table.”
Lindsey will get the opportunity later this month to see for himself.
“He said he’d be at my practice in about two weeks,” Curry said.
Curry is having an impressive to start to his senior season, an impressive start to his first season at quarterback. Through the first five games, Curry is averaging 303.4 passing yards per game. He’s done so by completing 91-of-176 passes for 1,517 yards with 11 touchdowns and four interceptions. He’s also a threat on the ground, rushing for 615 yards and eight touchdowns on 83 carries (7.4 avg.).
Western Carolina, Eastern Kentucky, South Alabama and Florida Atlantic have offered. Auburn, Georgia and Mississippi State are showing interest. Curry said Auburn and Mississippi State are showing the most interest, and an offer from the Tigers would be “a blessing.”
Curry’s lack of experience at quarterback isn’t a deal breaker for Auburn. The Tigers signed Malik Willis in the 2017 class after the former Roswell (Ga.) standout had played the position only one season. Willis, a true freshman, is now Auburn’s second-string quarterback and one of only two scholarship quarterbacks on the roster (Jarrett Stidham).

quote:Not signing a full 25 from HS & Juco just as we have done each of the past 3 or 4 years. We will likely take 1 or 2 transfers as usual to finish the class.
I was trying to put together 25 for a full class. What's everyone's predictions ?

quote:Because he's a 17 year old kid & they can change their minds in a whim. He told Keith early last week That SC & LSU are his top 2 & they were basically over the top on how they are recruiting him right now.
Not doubting you but how did we go from first to third in like two weeks?
