Would be nice if we could get Harris and Wonnum for sure, need that Tucker connection. We need so start getting some momentum.

Ha, I probably was overzealous in what I said but I do know for a fact he grew up loving Cam and thus having a fondness for Auburn and I know for a fact he was really wanting an AU offer and very excited when it came.

Like I said I can probably get some more info in 3 or 4 weeks when school starts back.

That would/should come with some on-field success. Hard to crush it on the trail going 8-5 and being inconsistent.

Outside of bama this pretty much describes most SEC programs over the last decade.

That's what I am really interested in seeing. We have a lot of guys wanting to get recruitments over before the season. No doubt having a good season will help us on the trail but we gonna need to convince some prospects to believe before there's any proof. Next few weeks could get really interesting

Yes but it gets tougher on the recruiting trail when it's believed to be a staff's put up or shut up year.

I mean I don't think it's that crazy for a kid to actually want a school to want him. I don't disagree that recruiting is off the rails but I don't think this is an example of that. He's basically saying that he likes Auburn but isn't going to go there if they aren't gonna recruit em. I don't see what's bullshite about that

So the coach of a instate power 5 conference team drives down to your high school after keeping up with you for a few years, tells you he is very interested in you coming to his school and playing for you, offered you a free ride to college to play for his football team. A school that you say you have always wanted to go to. And that is not enough? WTF man

I think you are too caught up in recruiting to see how fricked up that is

I am well aware of the fricked up things in recruiting. I also understand that it's not as simple as you have described. Auburn has "offered" 193 players. Not all 193 of those players can commit right now. Hawkins appears to be in the not committable offer part of things. More than likely he has to camp at Auburn or meet certain grade/athletic goals or wait for other names to go off the board. Is that an actual offer then? I don't think so but that's the lingo used today

Basically the kid wants a commitable offer and feel like the coaching staff actually wants him. If I am going to spend the next 4 years somewhere I would want the same. There's a lot of fricked up stuff with recruiting (committable/non committable offers being a big one imo) and no doubt things are just stupid now but a kid wanting some sort of communication with a school that he likes and supposedly has offered is not one of them

KN says 4* OT Dylan Wonnum will probably have a decision this summer and AU has become a major factor. South Carolina is more than likely the leader but things have gotten tight. LSU is also in the race but KN not sure how much they are in it. Wonnum might be visiting again soon.

KN says he followed up with a second source who believes it's down to AU & South Carolina. Also July decision is likely

Adam Anderson just decommitted from LSU. Their recruiting has not been boring

Also 4* LB Quay Walker is apparently planning on visiting later this month. KN says his recruitment might not be over

UGA about to start racking up again. If we let them get Fields especially they will sign another monster class this year and next year.

Ya wasn't much to it. Basically LSU might try and turn heat up again on Joiner but it was all speculation and nothing really informative. FWIW the LSU SECCountry guy says that staff were turned off by his unwillingness to compete and that's why they took those other backs

I'd rather not take joiner seems like a waste

I don't mind taking him if he's bought into being something other than a pure RB. He's an elite ATH but I don't see SEC RB

Hoping we get Pierce as our true RB. Great fit for Gus's system
