Just today in their recruiting thread somebody posted a list of all their commits and targets in the rivals top 250 and Moultry wasn't listed.

That's for signing day eve, just to really make sure its full potency is primed.

Man, some of you guys really go all out with the battered-wife-syndrome and Alabama recruiting.

Okay, and he inked AU on his arm. That to me seems rather committed to AU.

Or that he's just not very smart and made a poor decision.

are you really trying to compare the two situations right now?

LaDarious Phillips was Foster's cousin and he got the tattoo right after Phillips got murdered. It was an emotional decision by a teenager more than a sign of his commitment to us. He even said it was a tribute to Phillips.

No. Losing 5* LBs in back to back years who played HS ball in the town of Auburn can seem confusing to some. Even if it's not in competition with Bama take Cowarts situation where allegedly his head coach wouldn't let him fax in his LOI. Lots of commotion with highly rated prospects. In the end AU always recruits well.

Didn't he spell his cousin's name wrong?

The dude got "RIP ________ (cousin's name)" a little while after the actual Auburn tattoo, and had to get it fixed again after he gave the tattoo artist the wrong spelling.

Moultry told them thanks but no thanks.
That's not to say they won't push again and he has a change of heart but he has already told them no once already

That would be a touching and understandable story if not for 2 things
1- He only added Phillips nearly a year after he got the tattoo and after he flipped from Alabama
2- He misspelled his cousins name
