Fountain has made it clear how he sees Cannella fitting in, if Auburn were to be the eventual pick.
“Well, he was telling me they want to put some weight on me. I’m not too worried about that. I’ll have all spring to do that,” Cannella said. “He loves my receiving skills and whatnot. He thinks I can be a threat in the passing game. Blocking isn’t a problem at all. I can block. It’s just a matter of learning technique with me.”
hopefully no one reminds him that we only throw to a TE once a year

Standouts from Alabama-Mississippi All Stars day one (247)
quote:
Tadarian Moultry needs to be considered for five-star status…The Rueben Foster comparisons are going to continue with Moultry because of how violent and how fast he plays the game. The Auburn commit was all over the field on Tuesday and he's the type of kid that looks like he really enjoys practice, enjoys competing. That's not something to be overlooked.

Now that Tubz was canned, we should hire JB Grimes back as an off field analyst for OL.

Absolutely. Kid could play the Buck spot or at OLB or even inside. I think he will get on the field next season and by the end be fully in the rotation. Hard to keep that much talent on the sideline
What's crazy is a year ago thought he was a lock to Bama and Benton a lock to us. I actually think we ended up on the better end of that trade

Report: QB Jarrett Stidham hopes to make decisino next week (247)
quote:
“I just want to find a great coaching staff; that’s big for me,” Stidham told USA TODAY. “At Baylor I was around a lot of good people, and I want to find something like that. That’s a big deal. Also an offense that can put up a lot of points. I want to find a team that is full of good guys on and off the field. A team that I feel like can help me achieve every team goal that I’ve ever wanted — conference championships, Playoffs, national championships.”
Stidham threw for 1,265 yards and 12 touchdowns with two interceptions as a freshman at Baylor in 2015. He completed 75 percent of his 109 passing attempts.

Speedy Noah Igbinoghene aiming to play like Eli Stove in Auburn's offense (AL.com)
quote:
Eli Stove showed promise in his freshman season at Auburn, and the Tigers believe they have found someone who can duplicate his role.
New commitment Noah Igbinoghene says his football team at Hewitt-Trussville runs a similar offense to that of Auburn's Gus Malzahn, and believes he has a chance to fit right in with the game plan. After all, his head coach played for Malzahn in high school.
"(The style of play) is real important to me," Igbinoghene said Monday after checking in for the Alabama-Mississippi All-Star Game in Montgomery. "It's hard to learn a whole different offense. I wouldn't have to do that. It will probably change a little bit, but it's basically the same thing. I like that about it."
Stove totaled 185 yards on 19 catches for Auburn and rushed nine times for 126 yards, including a 78-yard dash on the first play from scrimmage to set up a 56-3 route of Arkansas Oct. 22.
Igbinoghene, a 6-foot, 190-pound track star, totaled 1,710 all-purpose yards and 18 touchdowns as a senior this fall. He rushed 94 times for 751 yards, 55 passes for 712 yards and eight touchdowns and had 247 kick return yards.
"He's one of those guys where they'll do similar stuff like we did," Hewitt-Trussville coach Josh Floyd told AL.com last month. "They'll motion him in the backfield. He's a good jet sweep guy. I think he can play outside and in the slot and can be a running back. I feel like the style of offense they run is conducive to what he does."
Igbinoghene is ranked as a three-star prospect and the nation's No. 51 wide receiver in the 247Sports Composite. After taking three trips to the Plains, he committed to the Tigers over Notre Dame and Duke on Thanksgiving.
"Last time (I went) it just felt like home, and I made that decision," Igbinoghene said. "I knew I wanted to commit before I got here (to the All-Star Game), so that was a perfect opportunity. It was Thanksgiving, and I wanted to make it special."
Members of Auburn's coaching staff visited Igbinoghene at his home Sunday night to talk X's and O's. He says he feels "relaxed" since making the decision and is "100 percent" committed to the Tigers.
"We talked about what I'm going to be doing and where I'm going to be playing," he said. "Eli Stove, kind of what he's playing... (Auburn's freshman receivers,) they've all played good. We have a lot of young guys so we're all going to have to step up."
Igbinoghene is the only receiver committed to Auburn's 2017 recruiting class, though quarterback/athlete Tray Bishop could also play the position. Last year the Tigers signed three of receivers ranked in the 247Sports Composite's top 20 receivers, including Stove.
Igbinoghene is not planning to visit any other schools than Auburn, where he will take his official Jan. 20.
"Auburn's felt like home to me and my family," he said. "I've really enjoyed it."

SEC Conference report: Alabama-Mississippi All-Star Game (Rivals)
@ Missouri
quote:
On the field: Simply put, it was a massive day for Auburn. Linebacker K.J. Britt seized a leadership role with the team on day No. 1, breaking down the huddle before and after practice. He was clearly one of the most explosive linebackers at the practice and was incredibly disruptive during full-team drills... Wide receiver commit Noah Igbinoghene was the most impressive player at the morning session and made a handful of incredible catches during one-on-one work... Alec Jackson, who physically looks like one of the most college-ready players on either roster, looked sharp in drills and batted down a pass at the line of scrimmage during the team session... Linebacker commit Tadarian Moultry won all three one-on-one reps he took while four-star defensive back Malcolm Askew grabbed an interception during team drills.
quote:
Recruiting Rundown: Auburn commit Tadarian Moultry said he discussed an official visit to Missouri and had interest in touring the campus but communication broke down somewhere along the way. “Nobody from Missouri contacted me back, so I guess I’m done with visits,” Moultry said following Tuesday’s afternoon practice.

Moultry is going to get bumped to a 5* before it's all said and done.

4* S Devon Hunter no longer committing on Christmas Eve
That's good news for AU as I believe we are trying to get an official visit in January. Still a long way to go in landing him but pushing the date back helps everyone but VT out imo

I've been telling people he's going to be special for us. Watched him at Trussville for years, and it's going to be fun to watch him continue to grow on the plains.

Former Baylor quarterback Jarrett Stidham has hoped to announce his college choice shortly after the dead period begins Monday.
But there might be a change of plans.
Stidham, the 5-star quarterback now attending McLennan Community College in Texas, told 247Sports' Taylor Hamm he's "probably" going to delay his decision.
The reason? He didn't specify.
But it's reasonable to think Stidham may be waiting to see where his former offensive coordinator at Baylor, Kendal Briles, will land. The two are very close.
