There were no other "pop-up" prospects for us, otherwise we would have taken said "pop-up" over Mike Horton (another OG).

Mike Horton was a back up to Ivey, but he is a guy that our staff supposedly likes a LOT. Although he was only about 6'4 his Sr year, he's supposedly a little taller than that now but he has MUCH longer arms than the typical 6'4 guy (which is more valuable than being tall...some may prefer that due to not having to worry about pad level). Horton isn't a guard though, he's a tackle.

But if you want to believe that there are a ~dozen kids who will all grow ~3-4 inches and become top OT prospects out of nowhere, then go ahead. Most of the actual prospects have been camping since LAST spring/summer (or earlier). Just how many no-names do you expect to blow up?

I'd expect about 5-10% of the R100 will consist of guys who are currently either NR or low 3* type of guys due to huge Senior years and development. Regarding just OL, I'd say you'll probably see 5-10 guys also get national offers who aren't on really anyone's radar right now.

I guess someone should inform our staff. I've never seen a school undersell a signee's height.

How much money you want to bet? He doesn't have the height, and just look at his freaking body type. He looks like a pure OG. He's built like a fat DT.

the ole' money bet guy huh? Please.

He's 6'4 and he's 310 lbs with long arse arms and incredibly quick feet. He was recruited at tackle. Could he end up at Guard, yes, and that is because with how well he moves his feet he may end up fantastic at pulling (which we do a lot of).

Which is why our own program announced him at 6'3 and nearly 325 pounds, right? Because you know, college teams ALWAYS list their athletes as shorter than they really are (/sarcasm).

This is from James Crepea's NSD piece:

quote:

Harrell, Horton and Kim all come in as interior linemen, with Kim most likely to be at center in the years to come.

This looks like a Tackle to you?

Oy-vey! Y'all are both on AUF. Take it to PMs there please. This thread has been hijacked long enough in this instance.

Let him stand next to Sean White. Then we'll know for sure.

And with all the gnashing of teeth, here's your first 2017 247 rankings.

TBF, you're posting pictures from about a year ago. It looks like he's lost a good bit of fat since then.

Kinda looks like this guy...

Before a college S&C program reshaped him into this guy...

How I remember so well the repeated refrains of "He's only a guard" by the LSU fans!
