It's too late now because it's obvious he's gone and it would just come across as sour grapes but I really, really wish we would have pulled his offer after he started looking around after his second commitment.

This is just uGA trying to save face w/ the fans. Keith knows, but he will never put a kid down, and I support that.
Still, I hope he succeeds in life. Maybe he can catch a case of that syphilis Athens has going around? Is that too harsh?

Seems to be exactly as it sounds. If you GPA is between 2.0-2.3 but qualify otherwise, you can enroll as an academic RS. LINK
For SDjr, he probably won't play as a FR anyways so I wouldn't mind if he had the SAT and >2.0 to otherwise qualify.

This is a little misleading w/ the academic RS, especially if he is recruited at LB/Nickel Safety needing weight
The issue therelikely is if we believe he can improve his SAT/ACT. If you are in the 2.0-2.3 GPA category, he probably needs >20 ACT

I don't even know what an academic redshirt is. How come some players have to go juco but yet SDJ can just academically redshirt?

It is new for 2016 and makes qualifying more strict, not less strict. NCAA requires recruits with 2.0-2.3 GPA to RS freshman year
For example,
2015 if you have a 2.15 GPA and 21 ACT you qualified
2016 if you had a 2.15 GPA and 21 ACT you have to academic redshirt

Per AUC info is pointing to AU & Bama standing out right now for Derrick Brown heading into his Vols OV but could still pick from any 1 of the above 3 & UGA on NSD.
Also Keith changed his Marshall pick to UGA.

Meh, just some new that the fed ex man delivered a NOA to Ole Miss and it includes 30 violations involving track, WBB, and possibly football.

It will get passed over. But if anyone is sticking out like a sore thumb when it comes to recruiting vs their national recognition it's Ole Miss since Freeze arrived.

They are so full of shite on Lawson. Their recruiting reporters always beat around the bush without making any sound predictions but they were dead set they had Lawson, especially after 3-9 Chizik were gone. The masses were bending the knee to the one poster who claimed Lawson's trainer said he was all UT two days before signing day.
