A lot of coaching has to be some even if they played OT in HS. Your concerns and to stem from a lack of understanding the game. Do you think development stops or even peaks in HS? Hell even the NFL is about development, look at Green Bay or Pats.

As for WRs, many highschool that do not recruit play thier most athletic plater at QB. Maybe they are not being developed at Auburn dye to subpar coaching.

He misspelled "their" also. He's probably drinking at work.

Wrong. I played the game and have been around it beyond that. Teaching a raw DE even at 6'8 to play OT if he's never played before would take a lot longer than someone who played on the line on high school. He has good athletic traits from playing the DE position and hand fighting skills but body bend and hips, foot movement is huge, pad leverage, working more with someone inside all take time and if you played on the line in high school it sets a better baseline than someone who never did. Could be a couple years difference for someone to make an impact on the field. I did not know that this kid was a two way player, makes a difference. And people are clamoring for a new LT, very tough position but we're going all the way to Ohio for someone rated for and protected to play DE by scouts. I haven't watched his film so he must flash potential for AU to not have much of a plan after Willie Allen. Trust the coaches I guess.

Did not infer this, obviously it doesn't. High school coaching for most kids at most schools is subpar. I learned more at camps.

I know, I'm a bills fan. I know people on a few practice squads and the differences between teams is larger than I thought.

Yes, they do. And in some cases it works out but it has not for AU. Development, whatever, I'm not there I don't know but I don't need to list names to know at Auburn it really has not worked out for years. You can find some examples but if you look at the top 10 WRs in each class in college, they contribute big and usually early.

Then I apologize for that comment. But we should not assume that every player signed is going to be a high impact starter. Some guys are just role players/scout team guys. I highly doubt the coaches seriously right they were getting Allen. Perhaps they are just looking to fill out the class.

No you implied it. I then inferred it.

Ok, I see it that time. No wonder yall call me a douche. Lol

You're right, some are role players and scout guys. Projected '16 LT Leff has been solid, rest of the line has experience, have Darius James and Horton was said to have showed out. But I am concerned after 2016 or if a couple guys go down next year.

We signed a good class last year, not highly rated but good, but we haven't seen much from any of them except practice praise. Hopefully we grab Price (his attitude will change) and I'll take the Sammons kid with his frame and agility at his size and we do well recruiting OL next year.

True, they probably knew and were putting all the eggs in his OV to AU basket.

I have to type everything on my phone over here as it gets a way better connection than my computer so I sympathize and don't gaf about the misspellings.

Looks like Stephen Davis Jr didn't make his OV to USCe.

Nigel Warrior's mom liked the AU visit a lot and said AU pitched early playing time, "something important" to her son. Tennessee gets the last visit though and will probably lock him up then IMO.

From AUC a strong source says AU is much more in it for Tre Nixon than most believe. Source felt that way before TN had AU in his final 3. Source called the Tre Nixon final OV to AU a week before Tre announced it. At that time most did not feel AU was a contender but the source says AU is a real possibility. AU optomism is rising a bit.

Do we even want Nixon if it's between him and Nate? I don't.

1 site is saying either or. The other site says we'd take both.

I don't see how we take that project OT over a guy like Nixon.

David Marshall may flip to UGA. So that we free a spot

Stay tuned ??

Chatter is both commit to Meeechigan tonight. There does not appear to be any other LBs on the board which furthers my belief that we take SDj as a Nickel LB as our 2nd LB in the class.

S M.Character

“I’m pretty solid,” he added of his commitment. “Auburn is just family. From growing up with some of the players and with the coaches, it just feels like family and it feels like home. I really like being down there and I could see myself living there.”

"I talked to Coach T-Rob on my way down there,” Character said. “He was telling me to make the best decision for myself. He’s behind me 100 percent wherever I go. I’m glad he’s behind me and supporting me on that.”
