Hey, I know about this!

He's trying to stay here but it's up to his parents. No decision last I heard.

Yeah. Isn't it tougher for most players when they are at least double teamed?

Some players get double teamed and still can't be stopped.

If he struggles with extra attention while other players don't then he's going to fall in the rankings. It's a pretty simple concept

Well Bentley's wife has been tweeting about "going home" so I'd assume they are heading back to SC.

Not sure if we'll be in consideration to sign him or not

We already have Narcisse so I wouldn't be surprised if he was going elsewhere before Bentley left.

That was my initial thought but the Bunker seems to think it's about James turning USC down.

That's definitely what it's about as well

Based on tweets from Bobby & his wife the whole fam is going back before next season.

The LaQuon Treadwell's of the HS world don't think twice about HS level players double teaming them. So that's concerning a little but he'll be fine I'm sure

Yes but we have no way of knowing if other players are getting doubled or whether they are excelling at it or not if they are being doubled. Sounds like a cop out to me.

Sandman has ties to Opelika HS and this will destroy their season. Learning a new system will suck for Jake Bentley in his SR year when he is trying to boost his recruiting ranking

He is probably Stanford or USCe bound. When Spurrier was at USCe, he used to visit Bentley so I wouldn't be surprised hometown school + dad = USCe

We're talking about where he's going to college. Nobody here really gives a shite about where he goes to High School (outside of Sandman I guess).

They may have a bunch of kids... and he may be staying. It's not uncommon for kids to finish out school in one spot while their parents relocate.

From a purely football standpoint, it makes sense to finish out a OHS

FTR my Prattville Lions played Julio twice in the playoffs bracketing him all the time in both games & shut him down. He had 4 catches for 30 yards in 1 game & 5 catches for 25 in the other, & no TDs. I don't know if even another team held him under 100 yards his Jr & Sr year. Point is even the best players can be slowed if the bracketing is coached & done right.

I imagine if you're in the top 100 and if you don't go to IMG Academy, then you get double teamed.

The people who evaluate would have the same way to know who else gets doubled as they do with Davis.

The original query was about whether he would finish high school here or not & it wasn't Sandman who asked.

Not the best thing to hear for sure but if he plays against good competition it's not that hard to take a WR out of a game if you are willing to put the rest of your defense in a bad spot.

Corner playing underneath and safety making sure nothing goes over the top. It takes a really good QB for HS to beat it.

To be fair E, we had Foley's qb on his back 2 seconds after every snap. It is easy defending a big wr when the qb can't get off his back.
