Nobody wants to out their sources. That's a good way to lose your source if they find out.
Some people are going to troll obviously, but if someone that doesn't have a history of trolling posts it you don't have to attack them.

Given all the potential variables out there shite hitting the fan could be many different things from Boom & T-Rob leaving which is at the forefront of our minds, to major staff desinsion, to the ticket scandal finally coming to a head & possibly forcing Jay out. That last shite hitting the fan would be a good thing in most of our eyes save for the public beating we may get.

I think you're missing the point that it wasn't me talking directly to Casey. If it was I would have wanted more info since I'm an Auburn fan. Casey was on a business lunch meeting with UAB football staffers for the first time, so it wouldn't have been professional to start asking for rumors and dirt on another football program. I've said what I had to say and what I heard. I don't care if you believe it or not, but I figured I would share it here since this is an auburn board. Have a nice day.

Also isn't very professional to say at your new employer that shite is about to hit the fan at the old place
Which is why I don't think Woods said it to begin with.
But it doesn't matter. Can't be verified, can't go much deeper than we've already been on this it seems

Okay. So it is unprofessional to give the reason why shite is about to hit the fan but it is perfectly okay to suggest at UAB that shite is abut to hit the fan at Auburn?

Somebody who says "shite is about to hit the fan" isn't a source.
Yall do know that not everybody that works in the athletic department is a reliable source?
What he posted wasn't even really info. It was just something to stir people up.
Will shite hit the fan? There's a good possibility but we knew that before he posted what he did.

I learned this the hard way. People in the AD know bits and pieces but rarely can they give a full picture.
The only people who really know how good/bad situations are, are the people who have a vested interest in not letting that information get out

From Keith FWIW
-Nate Craig & Jayvaughn Meyers to OV AU Jan. 15
-Recruiting JM at CB (Me: Jan 15 appears to be the big Jan OV weekend for AU. Derrick Brown & Ben Davis also will OV then. Haven't seen anything yet where JM is a take)
-AU may not reschedule in home w/ McCould
-Supposedly may be backing off due to injury
-Another SEC team supposedly has same concerns
-AU going all out for Ben Davis
-Convinced he's listening
-Bama still the pick
-Still seems in good shape w/ Keir Thomas
-Boom & T Rob to attend game Friday
-If only Boom leaves KT still believed to pick AU if new DC wants him (Me: If both Boom & TRob leave Arky may become favoritew/ 41 sacks the last 2 years & still going I sure as hell hope the new DC wants him)

So if we're backing off McCloud who are we getting at Lb?

to the ticket scandal finally coming to a head
What is this?

quote:Assuming this is referring to the AD practice of selling large blocks of tickets to certain big money boosters without letting other donors/season-ticket holders have a chance at them.
What is this?
Want to say that there were a couple of hundred tickets to the 2013 IB that were sold this way.
Most tickets come from unsold/returned visiting team allotment, recruiting allotment, etc.

I don't have a problem with this at all. Keep the big money happy. I'm sure all schools do this.

The problem is that they appeared to have targeted specific donors w/ relationships with a ridiculously good deal and not others.
For example, one donor bought 60+ tickets facevalue to 2013 Ironbowl around Nov 1st when we were 7-1. AU justified it as "we had to sell remaining tickets"
No donor donated enough money to be able to buy 60+ tickets at facevalue that ended up going for $750-$1000+ on stubhub
