2012 was a monumental letdown in terms of the prospects Auburn could have landed. We had a lot of momentum throughout the season, and then it all went downhill for whatever reason when National Signing Day started to roll around. You could just tell it wasn't going to end well.

Top rated DE in JUCO. Was set to be the starter at Illinois this year but some issue (that we're kind of in the dark about) came up that made him leave for JUCO.
James claims he just left but that sounds like BS. Illinois seems to imply it was a grades issue

An UI scout reporter tweeted me saying that he didn't have the option to stay at Illinois and it seemed like it was grade related.
He had issues getting eligible out of HS and even after that had issues being eligible to play at UI

I am optimistic about the future at DL. Lawson, Lawrence, Swain, Cowart, Williams, Russell, Tega, Juantavius Johnson, and possibly Adams, is pretty stout.
I think the Johnson kid has the ability to be a solid DT. He is very strong, and has a strong work ethic.
