I think what will save us is Ricardo Louis. Generally speaking, Davis/Ricardo have similar skill sets.
We likely are selling Davis on how we will run the offense through him similar to Coates 2013 and Louis 2015

We all act like AU is a WR graveyard but if you are our #1 WR you get llenty of opportunities
If you take per game stats for #1 WR (Our WRs always get injured) here is the stats + what a season based on those averages would be (Blake/Duke projected 13g)
2009: DaDams- Game ~4.5 rec 76.7 Yds Season 60 rec 997 yds
2010: DaDams Game 3.71 rec 68.78 yds Season 52 rec 963 yds
2011: E. Blake (8gm) 4.5 rec 76.25 Yds Season 58.5 rec 991 yd
2013: S Coates 3 rec 64.43 yds Season 42 rec 902 yd
2014: D Williams ~4.9 rec 79.89 yds Season 63.5 rec 1036 yd
For comparison some All SEC that are ballpark

Why anybody would ever give Lawson a first round or second round grade after being out for the past couple years I will never get. He needs to come back and prove that he is capable of playing most of a season with or without injuries and then he should be ready for the draft. His sample size of film throughout his Auburn career is so small that I don't think his film could even support a first round grade anyhow.
