How is it not exaggeration? You are making finite conclusions ("Cowart has outgrown so and so position") based off of completely unconfirmed reports on his weight. AU writers "reporting" it doesn't give it any validity as they're literally just reporting what was said to them. Did they carry a scale around and personally weigh Cowart? No, he told them he was up to 280 and they reported that claim.
You debunking his weight claims are less credible than AU reporters who actually cover this for a living. So excuse me for believing what E has said as opposed to you. At least AU reporters have met, seen and talked to him, unlike you I'd guess.

at 280? That's one hell of a buck...And that's what she said.
While true, Fowler played at like 265 I think at UF. I would think Cowart could do it if needed, though I do kind of doubt the 280 number, but it doesn't really matter. If the coaches want him to lose weight for Buck, then he will. If they are happy with it, then they won't. Simple as that.

I have a hard time believing that 20-30LBs in 2-3 months is "good weight" rather than "playing weight"
Either way though, once you push past 265, you really are stretching the limits in terms of coverage ability. Just look at the NFL, 265 seems to be the top end for most LBs. I doubt a college FR is advanced enough in the weightroom/athletically to be superior to freaks in the NFL

Yeah I'd prefer Cowart be around 265. I don't think he'll be able to get to 300 lbs to be a DT. Maybe at 290 he could be a 3-4 DE, but I'd prefer he keep that elite quick twitch and stay around 265 or so.

I would too. The 260 range should be about max for him. I just doubt most weight number that come out over the summer until fall camp officially starts. They are rarely accurate

While I'm sure it isn't completely good weight, your 6'3 280 isn't reasonable point is stupid. NFL just picked a guy in the second round at DE with those measurements. He isn't "cut" but he doesn't look fat
Cowart looks nowhere near as thick as Edwards does in that pic. Thanks, you just proved my point for me. Look at Edwards' midsection, rear end, and thighs in that pic...then compare it to that recent "280" shirtless pic of Cowart.
Carl Lawson is ~255-260 pounds of pure muscle. I'm supposed to believe that Cowart is 20-25 pounds heavier than that at an ~inch taller? Ooooooook.

Sounds like we have a great shot at getting a 2017 commitment from Louisiana stud QB Lowell Narcisse. Seems like the coaches favor him over Bentley. He'd be a big time pickup

Sounds like it won't be over til it's over though with LSU even if we do get his commitment. That said, I hope we get him.

Well LSU is also on another good QB from New Orleans, so if they get him they may be done with QB recruiting.
I guess it's kind of the same with us and Jake Bentley

So you are saying that you have seen him in the past month regularly to compare? Also, Edwards has pads on there. Here is a no pad version of Edwards which I could totally see Cowart being in the same ballpark
