Allright, tough internet guy. Some of y'all get way too emotionally involved in this to wish bad things for a teenager. It's pretty pathetic.

Maybe someday these kids' parents will wise up to the games coaches like Saban play and stop letting their kids fall for them.
Won't happen for the most part. Most families are new to the recruiting process each year & most coaches, especially in the SEC are some of the best salesman in the world. For some kids in some situations it's hard to stay committed under that kind of pressure. There aren't many situations in life to relate that to, especially & 17-18.

I know nothing about this kid, are we excited about this and does this mean we miss on Pass?

Well with the way things seem around here lately...you would have to say we missed on Pass. Aubs going after 3 stars now, this is going to be a melt class, etc etc.

That is why I don't bother with this shite a year out. I will pay attention around thanksgiving and Christmas but until then not much sticks.

We're still trying to get Pass also.

I like Woody better anyway. He's a faster Tajh Boyd and a perfect fit in our scheme

Someone compared him to Dak Prescott and IMO that is an absolutely perfect comp to him. He's not a burner, but he's fast. He's 221 now, Dak is 230. Both about 6'2. Both thick in the legs. Both have good solid arm strength but not elite there. They even struggle with the same throws (opposite hash throws requiring a ton of zip). Woody could definitely end up a Dak Prescott running Auburn's offense type of player.

I don't think Barrett is actually "6'2 220" or whatever he claims. He looks as tall (if not slightly shorter) than Deondre Francois (~6'0-6'1) in this pic:

We're probably like the staff. Not overly excited but we got a kid who can run our option game very well & has upside that can be developed as a passer.

No. He is still visiting 3 of his 5 finalists who have a QB committed in this class. +The staff is not as sold on Pass as most AU fans are. If my memory serves me right they offered Woody before Pass. W/ that said, the staff still wants Pass to go along w/ Woody in this class.

He looks slightly taller in this one from today. So he's probably 6'1 and maybe not 220. That's why I said Boyd

When I saw 6'2 219 I thought maybe 6'0 ~230. When a guy is listed as something something 9 pounds in HS it's to look smaller so as to not give the impression that he was short and fat.
