On thing about Thompson: He apparently is close with Jefferson's father -- and that is the most important person besides CeCe in this recruitment.

Mushcamp also is tight with the father.

I keep hearing Florida may not be at the moment.

I would choose CeCe, Cowart, and Prince.

I love Key, but if we already have CeCe and Cowart, I would rather take the gamble on Prince's freakish athletic ability.

I won't believe Irvin is visiting until he actually shows up... I'm sure he's getting tons of pressure from strong and staff to not OV. that's why sometimes it's just best for everyone to keep quiet on some do these visits.

Also, I need the negabarners to start being more nega. I don't like when this thread gets too positive. Usually means disappointment is coming.

Won't matter anyways. If CeCe or Cowart sign with us, they won't qualify. We should just move on.

Two inches taller usually means two inches longer arm length. Matt Elam has extremely long arms for his size.

All I said was it was concerning. I made one post about it before the NFL comparisons started getting thrown out by two separate posters. A second response earned another 5 responses from 5 different posters. Seems everyone else are the ones making the big deal about it.

Matt's arms measured in at 32 5/8" long which indicates that his relative arm length is in the upper 26% (His arms are longer than 74% of all Safeties in the NFL) Also from that link:

So 5'10 and shorter safties aren't all that common in the NFL. Posters cherry pick some of the elite but the overall average says that it's unlikely 5'10 or shorter safeties are lining each roster.

Sorry if I've heard this song and dance a multitude times over the past 6 years and don't just "trust the coaches." Trusting the coaches left us with zero pass rush this year.

Like I already said, I hope Irvin will be an AA and proves me wrong. My concern with a 5'8 safety certainly has merit and let's just leave it at that.

I also find it humorous after all the bitching about Chizik recruiting undersized secondary players, now recruiting a 5'8 safety isn't something that should be questioned.
