Not CVO since he's mostly potential right now, but it's definitely not crazy to assume Ivey will be better than all of them. Let's be real, Shon is not the player he was probably going to be before the cancer treatments. Everyone is rooting for him but he struggled this year. Bad. And Smith will be a beast, but idk if it will be a LT, we'll just have to see. Ivey is as surefire a LT prospect as Cam Robinson was last year. Once he puts on 20ish lbs, he's going to be a franchise LT, he's got elite athleticism and agility that almost no OL are blessed with and is a straight mauler.

He's still not a "need", but definitely a guy that can be the difference in a really good team and a great team

I like SC and Drago but technique was horrible at times. Had feet in cement at times. That may be totally on Grimes or on scheme. It just seemed that people could line up wide and blow them up.

It could also be due to the fact most of practice is on run blocking and not much on pass blocking.

He could be but it's not a definite. He has the same attributes as Shon right now. He's a very good run blocker with not much pass technique. He will have to do what Shon hasn't which is develop the pass blocking.

Disagree as a whole. He was a good run blocker which is what Gus does. Yes he was poor on pass blocking often time. Overall I would say Shon was an above average SEC LT this year.

None of that means he will develop pass blocking well which was Shon's weakness.

In 2016 and beyond, most likely but doubtful in 2015 unless he wins a guard spot which is possible with Kozan likely not doing much in 2015.

Who is this recruiter junkie guy? He has got to be the grossest and most crude person I have encountered on this site. He has no limits or filter.

Weirdly enough he is entertaining... He draws a crowd lol

Needs help though.

Not disagreeing but considering how much effort they put into "being balanced", you would think we could figure out how to pass protect.

Any chance we can get a numbers breakdown on how many we can sign in the OP? I know it's been discussed in the thread, but would be helpful to have that info in one place. Thx.

I agree, but none of the guys we have are elite tackle prospects. Kim is a center, Carr and Harrell guards, and Sharp is a raw tackle with some potential but far from what Chidi or Ivey could be. It's not a dire need, but an elite tackle is all that's missing on the offensive side of this class (assuming we get Burt)

Pretty much this. We can keep going 8-4, 9-3 with the type of lineman we have committed but if we want to be getting into and winning the playoff we need elite. Sorry if you don't want to hear that.

We went 8-4 because of the defense. The O did it's job statistically for the most part.

Wrong. We need a adequate D to compliment the O to get into and win the playoffs.

Sandman is not around much so don't expect OP updates. Gus has never signed the max anyway so knowing that info and having it in the OP is not that important anyway. FTR we can sign 29 if Gus chooses to. 2 of those spots automatically went to Trey and Golson so there are 27 left.

Looks like this will now drag to NSD week on John Burt.

I don't see why he decommitted then. Especially since he doesn't want the attention.

Some people may think it is wrong to be committed while looking around and second guessing.

I try not make personal insults, but that guy should be ashamed. He was making fun of/attacking the female victim in the aggravated assault case with Bama's new commit.
