What will be the deal with Tim Irvin?
Good all around baller who hits hard. If Auburn wants to really still go after Irvin they can. He is an EE but Texas starts their Spring term very late, January 20th. TI could conceivably OV AU the weekend before, flip, and start classes the next week even though the AU term starts on the 14th. I'd love to get the nephew of former Cowboy great WR Michael Irvin, or you youngsters know him better as Deacon from "The Longest Yard" but TI will be a tough pull in that short of a window.

I'm not biting on Cowart just yet. I think AU is a novelty and hat on the table for him right now. I'm sure the thought of him coming here with all his other 5* bros is entertaining that's where the positive interviews are coming from but at the end of the day I don't think he leaves Florida.

I'm not fully nega on the idea though. We need to get him on campus on one of those Torrance Gibson 5 day visits lol

I'm waiting to see the rest of the staff changes before I even start to guess who we get or not. The right hires could make a big impact and it only takes one or two big players to jump on board to start making the others take notice.

Allie Davidson notes

- Spoke with someone who knows Florida recruiting well (probably read twitter)

-AU is moving up Cowarts list and fast. " The staff told him that if he can get a big time group together, they will offer" <---- Not sure wtf that means

-Cowart vising the 16th isn't great when he visits instate schools after

-UF will go after McGriff and McBryde and make them primary targets.

-McGriff would be a hard flip due to DC relationship and AU being supportive and never backing down after injury.

-McBryde is a wildcard as he hasn't talked with the GusChamp and UF never recruited him

probably means whoever they bring together that AU hasn't offered, the coaches would offer

Seems like it is basically final just may not be retained as DT.

He couldn't do worse at TE/ST than Fountain anyways

I just don't see us getting rid of Garner. His buy-out is quite hefty. Fortunately, he can coach on either side of the ball. I do hope we move him to TE coach. I don't want another ST coach that is just there to fill the spot. I want a proven quality ST coach.

That's what I meant. "Retained" implies that we will stay where he is. I still think he moves to TE

He might not be on the defensive staff when it is all done but he will be on the coaching staff somewhere. He has coached special teams and tight ends before and was good at it so it wouldn't surprise me at all for him to move and replace Fountain.

Lawing is the only other position coach that I could see potentially coming from Florida but he has an assistant head coach tag there so it would be a downward move for him to come here. Not sure who else they would go get that is better than Garner is.

how good is Allie Davison with her sources? Seems very young to be on the rivals staff but maybe that`s just because i`m so dang old. I do hope she`s right on Cowart though, especially if he can get some other big time defensive prospects interested.

I would love to see Rocker. I have noticed some on here don't think much of his coaching ability. I thought our DL was stout under him. It was the lone bright spot of the D when he was with us, IMO.
