Jawon Pass said Alabama, Auburn, Louisville, Virginia Tech, and North Carolina stand out for him.

Said he was was ready to commit to us early but didn't have an offer. He has one now.

Getting an elite quarterback prospect on board early would be awesome for the next class.

Hopefully a dualthreat will realize bama is not the place for him. Sims is an exception to the rule. I don't see Saban getting another coordinator like Kiffin again. He hates that offense so much.

Not to sound morbid, but what does Mitchell do to recruiting? Do we go after another tight end at this point or leave it where it is? McGriff is a big guy but he is on the short side for a tight end, could he be moved there anyway?

Mitchell wasn't really a TE anyway. He was an HB, and not tall himself either (no taller than 6'2).

That was only 2 and a half years ago. Ladarious Phillips and Ed Christian died and Eric Mack was shot and left the team.

If I was a parent who had no real prior knowledge of Auburn and the area Id be seriosuly concerned about letting my son play for Auburn right now.

Hard to say that these things happen everywhere when you don't hear about it at other schools.

Which is a problem, because most not from the state, and even some from here, have no clue.

Edit: Spelling

In the grand scheme of it all I don't believe it will have that big of an impact.

Our board is nosediving today and I'm not a reason for it. I don't like this feeling.

I don't think it hurts our image too much because this is the only other case as far as I know In auburn history and I would expect after this something serious happening with student athletes prohibiting them from that area. Ultimately you can't police partying but you can try to be more strict on where these kids are on Saturday nights. Hate to use him as an example but saban I feel like has the kind of control in these areas we need to adopt more of. Sad sad day. Prayers for his family.
