I thought McBryde was projecting as a safety?
No. That's just where he said he wanted to play after he thought the Star position was gone. It has not been projected yet where Boom wants him. Could easily be LB.

Tougher, yes. But USCe has lost 2 or 3 recruits recently, and their program seems to be imploding a bit with Spurrier declining and soon to retire. Lewis can probably see that

I was not talking about a home state factor. I was just comparing how I think it will mirror how Lambert's went last season which was AU making a late push even though Lambert was committed to UT and it going back and forth on juco signing day. On Lewis as of the last 2 weeks SC has had no more than a 55-45% edge over AU and more likely even. ML is another recruit Spurriers 2 or 3 year comment may cost them.

You can go past 25 if you were under 25 the previous year and if the over kids are January enrollies. 21 of the kids from last year counted to the 2014 class. So we started this year being able to sign 29. Transfers count now to first year limits so Trey and Golson bring the limit down to 27. The punter Ian Shannon is a commit in this class but the plan now is for him to enroll in January 2016 giving 18 in this class. Given we have 18 commits right now with the limit of 27 we can add 9 more to this class.

Thanks, E!

and none of this takes into account any flips away from us and if Muschamp tells a few to look around. If we are able, I am sure we will take any top tier player we can by telling others to walk.

The thing I am most interested in is if Gus will back off a bit next year and let Muschamp go out and put together a recruiting class that is majority defensive guys.

I don't think that would be very smart.

I don't think we need a mostly defense class

Muschamp just needs to increase the quality of recruit we get, especially in the secondary. If he does that we'll be fine.

I respectfully think this is the wrong way to look at it. Gus and Boom will both work to fill what they feel the needs of the team are whether it be on O or D. Also I don't think the raw talent on D is as bad as it appeared this season. Along with yes some poor coaching, I think Gus rarely letting 1s go vs 1s this year going all the way back to Spring ball hurt the development and physicality of the D this season. Per JGT Gus has told Boom there will be more 1 v 1s moving forward so Boom can make the D physical. That by itself should make our D a good bit better.

As for what we try to sign in 2016 on O it looks like we will sign 1-2 QBa and 1 RB. WR is wide open. Some of that depends on if Duke comes back or not. If he leaves then it depends how we finish this year and if any of the WR core develops into a consistent go to guy which no one is proven at that right now. My guess right now is we would sign about 3 to replace Rico, Denson, and Ray. Maybe more if the underclassmen have not developed. On the OL AY is the only one I could see potentially going pro next year. We also lose Miller, Danzey and Dampeer however so I could see us signing 3 OL next year with 1 or 2 more possible if Kozan and Diamond do not make full recoveries. I have no clue what Gus will do at HB or TE soi I will not even venture a guess there. It will likely depend how the players at each position develop. If they do well I could see us not signing any. If they struggle then likely 1 at each spot.

So I guess I have figured out a guess as to what I think Gus will take on O next year

1-2 QBs
1 RB
3 WRs
3-5 OL
0-2 HB & FB

So 8-13 on O is my guess.

We've recruited well enough on O for the past few yrs that we can load up on defenders for a yr or 2. 60/40 split could help considering past results/busts.

E, do you think Peyton Barber might try to transfer? Looks like he'll probably slide to 3, possibly even 4 on the depth chart next season.

Might be a silly question, but what percentage of teams usually let 1's go against 1's in practice? Besides a health standpoint, what is the advantage in not letting 1's go against 1's?

I have no clue. FWIW I don't think KJ will exclusively be at RB the first couple of years. I think he will move around on O a bit to give the team the best skill players on the field as often as possible.

Not sure but I know the physical teams do it. Also it don't have to be a lot of time at each practice. Just enough to keep the 1s sharp.

As he should be. I want to see him in the slot running the speed sweep and going out for routes a good bit.

I just don't know how Barber fits in. The only shot I really see him having is if Jovon goes off next year and is one and done. Then he might split carries with Roc his senior year.

We need a big commit or flip to get things going.

You can hardly blame him for wanting to stay in state. Especially considering LSU's history of putting people in the league. Hopefully Duke and Sammie going high in the draft will get some 2016 guys high on us.
