He is injured so often I can see why he was left out but Keymiya Harrell is another that missed the season.

What the hell are you arguing?

-"We have no pass rush!" Then points to #2 sack leader in SEC last year

-"Wasn't given a bare cupboard!" - Can only point out one player he inherited that has contributed and ignores the fact that we won't have a single SR defensive lineman on the roster next year

-"Roster Mismanagement " bitch that we take 2 stars then bitch that we don't have depth

-"Recruiting!" - He has brought top 250 players at DE and DT every year so far and has 3 five *s , top rated Juco DE and multiple top 250 4*s

-"Can't coach players!" - I saw Dee Ford who wasn't a 1st day pick become a 1st RD guy, Angelo Blackson not only was on the field but had TFL this year and in general our DL looked head and shoulders above where Pelton had them in 2012

Blackson is a freak athlete for his size. He didn't get "coached up" he just made some plays because he's a freak athlete. Gabe and Monty should have lost all that weight

Thornton and Kennion were the 2 undersized DEs I referred to FWIW. They came in at 225 lbs.

He wasn't making plays as a "freak athlete" before Garner I agree he has the athleticism that he doesn't need elite coaching but Blackson's play this year was light years ahead of where it was before Garner showed up

Monty shouldn't have lost the weight I don't think but for the long run it may benefit him. He lost mostly fat not muscle. I wouldn't be shocked if he tries to just add back the weight primarily in muscle and makes him even more of a monster

They are going to be pretty fun to watch going forward. Saw Kennion leaving the basketball game. He is starting to look a little bulky and not twiglike anymore

Yeah. The word on Kirk now from Keith is it's likely an ASU-AU battle with ASU leading.

Definitely looks like Kirk to ASU. There were just like 10 CBs in a row for Kirk to ASU

We are having former UAB receiver visit this weekend. Jamari Staples, 6-foot-3 and 195 pounds. Scored against MSU.

Garner has more DL he's coached than any other college coach, now playing in the NFL.

End of discussion. The dude can coach em up.

Is that the kid that does their punt returns too? He is really fast if it is. Looks like Sammie but with better agility and hands.

ETA: That is someone else who does their punt returns. Don't know much about this kid.

According to Kerryon Johnson Bama has started recruiting him hard as of late. He said Lane Kiffin DM's him on twitter telling him to watch bama's offense.

Johnson says bama isn't "much of a threat" but also added that Bama is "the biggest threat" to AU.

He'll OV Bama and FSU

Well, assuming they are the ones recruiting him hardest besides us, that would make sense.

Notes from Bama/Miss all-star practice from KN and JHoke

Daron Payne - Has re-shapped his body. Explosive and Quick.

Kerryon Johnson - Of all the backs playing in the game he's the quickest and can line up anywhere. Weight gain will be a problem.

Tyler Carr - Looked good run blocking inside. He gets upfield with the defender in a hurry and with force. Definitely looks like a Guard prospect rather than Tackle

Richard McBryde - Reacts quickly and looks comfortable in pass coverage. Has frame to get up to 225 maybe 230. Could be a quick OLB or a big safety

Darrell Williams - Not as quick and reactive as McBryde but has a long frame and covers a lot of ground.

Jalen Harris - Struggled catching the ball. Made progress as a blocker. Hoke wasn't impressed at all said he's not very explosive and in more or less words said he's a great kid but not a great player.
