add Kennion
Will likely be better than Thornton. Kid can ball and already getting experience. Thorton will be good, just not Kennion

But watching Holland a bit last night and he just looked like he would be a natural.

I wouldn't mind this. Didn't EJ have a guy who went DE/LB dependingo n the situation?

Could be that he doesn't have Lashlee in the booth. Takes longer for the booth guy to tell Gus/Lashlee, them interpret it, then tell Nick good/audible
I'm not sure how much they use input from the booth on call by call basis. Gus is strategically at the LOS and Rhett parallel with the other team's safeties so the 2 can have a full picture of what the D is doing.

I assume you are basing that solely on the fact Kennion is playing this year? Thornton was one of the better pass rushing DE's in the country last year.

I wonder if he was snooping around Auburn when Alex and Carl got hurt. If so we need to start sending him to opponent's scrimmages on game week.

Keith got upset with me because I mentioned the 'curse', back when Nate Craig broke his leg. He was at AU around the time Carl was hurt. He was covering everything for AUC back then and was in Auburn. Kozan got hurt at home in CO.

It has happened every game he has gone to this year. It hasn't been serious everytime, but many people have picked up on it now.

I am basing that on Kennion playing, playing well for a very undersized FR and that Thornton had a shoulder injury making it difficult to go through some of the necessary strength workouts to bulk up.

I think Thornton will be good just Kennion will have a big head start for next year

Thornton was RS'd because of Appendicitis. Did he hurt his shoulder after surgery?

I thought it was reported as a shoulder injury. I'm probably wrong about that and then my thoughts based on that then

I am really excited about both Thornton and Kennion going forward when they get their weight up. From what I have heard both have extremely high ceilings That length and speed will be unreal. Hopefully Russell gives them some of Mike's Secret Stuff in the weightroom to get big

Man if we can't seal the deal with Ivey, and maybe Holland, with what's going on in Gainesville...

The problem now will become recruiting against all the excitement of the new HC they hire.

If he is really torn between the two the relationship between he and our coaches vs. a new staff should be enough to seal the deal. If he goes to Florida now he was never seriously thinking about coming here anyway.

Ivey has said he does not care who is coaching at Florida and that a new staff there will not affect his recruitment. On the other hand, I agree with you on Holland. knowing he is an EE the staff should be all over him.

Not necessarily true. One can seriously consider another option and still go with one's heart. Ivey's heart is with Florida. FWIW Bill King ,who has covered and followed recruiting for a very long time, said last week on radio that Tez is a virtual look to Florida.

Kris Frost was a virtual lock to michigan... but coaches getting fired changes things.

And bill king doesn't know shite about Florida IMO.

True but Kris never went on record saying a coaching change would not affect his recruitment the way Ivey has.

I just passed on what he said because Archie, an insider in The Bunker, said Bill King is good with recruiting.

If Muschamp gets fired mid season then that changes things. That means that UF goes a month+ with no head coach. That's tough on recruits because there is just so much unknown. That to me is the way case scenario for us because it gives us a month to recruit him while UF can't really do the same effectively.
