I had to do a double take on the time posted. The signs are.........either the kid is a hard worker....or a party animal.

up to #4 in recruiting with this commit. I can`t believe we are close to closing out our class in July. I can remember sitting on my laptop on NSD during the Tub years with ten spots left to fill.

FWIW, McBryde was #1 on our LB Board. Of course people doubted it. He has a better frame than Holland for one thing. He just doesn't camp, ever. He hasn't left the state and doesn't participate in 7 on 7. We will still go after Holland, but Keith says Staff is okay with who we have.

Well I have to go against the staff on this one. Holland is a shiny jewel that we need.

I know a lot of you guys hate Allie D. but you can't hate her for bringing news like this:

Rivals100 OT Martez Ivey visited at Florida today, but left before Friday Night Lights, the Gators' version of Big Cat. The No. 29 overall player is still scheduled to visit Auburn with Chandler Cox for a few days (Saturday-Tuesday). I mentioned it last week, but this visit is incredibly important for Auburn and Ivey -- most likely his last one to the Plains before he takes officials in the fall

Leaving before FNL starts seems very strange but can't be a bad thing. From rivals, obviously.
Not strange at all as it's a camp and nothing like BCW. He came early to get some quality time with the staff since they would be too busy coaching during FNL. His visit went well.

May or may not be close. We can sign up to 8 or 9 more if the staff wants.

Talent wise alone yes however he had some strange behavioral issues at the Rivals 5* challenge although JGT would not say what they were specifically.

Staff believes McBryde has a better frame to gain without losing speed. Holland has red flags with maturity. IMO, and Keith said others as well, RB has a higher ceiling. He just never leaves the state, not even to camp/combine. Ranking would otherwise be about the same. Watch his film again if you haven't lately. He reads plays quickly. Plus he can knock your head off or wrap you up like an octopus. And best of all, speed.

No one is saying we aren't happy with RM, we just want Holland too.

Five-star offensive tackle Martez Ivey of Apopka (Fla.) will arrive at Auburn on Saturday night and remain at the school until Tuesday.

He is making the trip with Tigers fullback Chandler Cox, his teammate and best friend.

Ivey, the No. 1 offensive tackle and No. 6 overall prospect in the 247Sports Composite, visited Florida on Friday. Right now, it appears to be a dead heat between the Tigers and Gators.

Ivey's only previous visit to Auburn was back in February.

Monday is considered the biggest day of his Auburn visit, as he will spend all day with the staff.

damn I would love to lock up Ivey to round out the line class. Then we could focus on the defensive line that has been eluding us all year.

DL have become that ever elusive prey for us. Like a White Stag you only see one every seven years.

Geez if we aren'wow Ivey staying for 4 days

Also I love RBs film and Darryl Williams. Both play fast and attack the ball. I would like Holland too though.

I guess my question is, do we need him at RB? Seems that we could use him more in the secondary...

Not sure what his skills are..
