#Auburn QB commit Tyler Queen pain-free and progressing after elbow injury (VIP) LINK
Quote from his dad
quote:

He throws on Monday, Wednesday and Friday,” said Queen’s father and coach, Shane Queen. “His progression is going good. He’s throwing 40 or 50-yard passes now. He look great, feels good, and is not throwing with any pain. He hasn’t lost any velocity. He’s doing all of spring practice. He’s doing all the run game. And, on days he can throw, he’s throwing short passes.
More notes

-expected 100% in 3 weeks
-will compete in the tOSU regional Elite 11 QB camp trying to earn a spot in the finals in July at The Opening in Oregon
- Will EE at AU in January.

This is probably not the correct board, but I was looking at Sean White's offer list. Why is his offer list relatively weak for a highly touted 4-star?

Most big schools had already secured their QB commit by the time he committed in the fall. Then he was pretty open about being solid to AU. I'm sure a lot of teams didn't bother

Oh and he may or may not be shorter than his listed height based on internet analysis

I believe I recall reading that Sean quit reporting his offers too.

Because he has the soul of a 4 star inside a 3 star body. Apparently those grading him felt his spirit emanating.

Was Tyler Queen's diagnosis ever revealed with his elbow? I'm assuming it was just some tendinitis.

He did not truly become highly touted til after he kicked arse at the UA game and skills competition this past January. Before then he was a very low 4* on 3 sites. It was only after that performance combined with him kicking every QB's arse at every camp he went to going back to the previous May that really got him highly rated

As for the offers, he destroyed the field at the Elite 11 QB finals and 7 on 7 competition in late June. He then get a few decent offers plus 1 from AU. He then committed to AU in earl-mid July and completely shut things down after that. He kept getting bigger offers in the Fall but declined to report them because he was done with recruiting and did not see the point of publisizing the offers his work and newfound fame had brought him.

Long story short, his actual offer list is quite a bit better than is listed but he chose not to report them.

Yes it's the same injuries pitchers get that require Tommy John surgery. He got the injury from pitching actually. Since QB motion does not put the strain on the elbow pitching does and does not require the number of throws pitching does Dr. Andrews just told TQ to rest the arm for a couple of months and let it heal on it's own.

I guess. I was gnving the uneducated summary. I don't know or understand details like a UCL injury.

If my son had a full ride to a BCS school as a QB, I'd be damned if I let him pitch in high school... I know it's different bc TQs dad is probably his coach, but still... That's a huge risk.

It was a partially torn UCL that didn't require surgery, just rehab

And coming from a guy living with one, he's lucky.

I don't believe he is a serious baseball prospect, like Russell... Or a jameis
