I remember joe schad bashing our recruiting a couple of weeks ago and praising Bama at #1.

Not recruiting related but ESPN Insider Computer based projections have Auburn at 8-4 with less than 5% chance of going 11-1 or 12-0

quote:
3. Auburn Tigers
Projected finish: 8-4 (5-3)
Chance to win SEC: 4 percent
Chance to finish 11-1 or 12-0: 4 percent
The projection model is designed to accurately project the fortunes of the majority of teams, and Auburn was one of its biggest misses last year. Its five-year trendline certainly didn't forecast a run to the national championship game in 2013. The Tigers' performance prospects are more favorable in this year's projection (No. 8 overall in the FEI ratings), but the schedule holds them back. Cross-division games against South Carolina and Georgia and a road trip to Alabama present the most difficult draw of any SEC West team. There are seven games on the Auburn schedule that fall into toss-up territory. If Auburn can recapture the magic of last season, those toss-ups will be victories for sure. However, a solid but not spectacular season is more likely.

that must be more based on their recruiting rankings and not as much on experience and development and overall on-field coaching. Auburn, right now, is second to NO ONE in those 3 departments.

I agree with this. Auburn can and may win it all but to do so Auburn will earn it like no other team ever has.

From page 181 to half way through 182, everyone has one downvote. One guess which fanbase our lurker is from?

Am I the only 1 here that just noticed and looked at up and down votes for the first time because of this post?

I never pay attention to the up down votes.

I don't see why kids aren't jumping on the opportunity to go to things like BCW (or whatever specific weekend for any school). For a top notch program, this is their big day and easily the best one to come to. Why would you voluntarily miss out on that opportunity?

I said this last week.

I will be very disappointed in him if he changed anything until someone stopped it.

We should definitely see an increase in passes because NM has more confidence / experience, better weapons, and a bigger knowledge of the playbook.

Marshall actually got better as the season went along.

In August/September he completed 58%
October 56%
November 63%
December/January 60%

I would hope those numbers improve with a veteran group of wr's and year in the system. With all that said though our oline CAP Grant and Marshalll running the ball will still be our strength.

I would like to see his attempts go from about 17 a game to 25 ish.

Considering our toughest competition was in November and our easiest was in October, that makes the trend look nicer

I'm expecting an increase in passing, just for the sake of keeping the defense off balance. We consistently had guys open deep. If Marshall can hit those throws this year, it's going to make the secondary hang back and open the run game up even more... Which is terrifying if you're an opposing DC.

If Marshall can hit open receivers I don't see why we shouldn't pass more either. I mean, I like the run heavy sid eof things but there comes a point where you can start passing to open up the run too

With Duke and Sammie, we should have a ton of explosive power in the pass game to make some plays

Meh, you just use the weapons you have and win the game. If that is run all game, Pass all game, or a good mixture I really don't care.

I will admit though I would love the box score to show 350 Rushing, 350 passing, and 50+ points per game. I am hopeful we crush many opponents this season.

I want opposing defenses bending over, looks of bewilderment, jumping on their teammates, and shrugging in frustration over at the sideline because everything they do is futile against Auburn's offense.

I am hoping for total domination on our way to 15-0 and a national championship.

Other than that I am okay with winning by just 1 point too.
