Terry Godwin visited UA this weekend and will return for their ADay game. Seems like his recruitment is very open

Per AUC AU is the team to beat for OT Bailey Sharp after Saturday's visit for the scrimmage.

You have to cool it on the abbrevs. Even I don't know who OT is.

Fixed OP. Bailey Sharp

Other stuff per AUC

-UGA and UF have become factors with Roquan
-UGA visit this weekend went very well
-good friends with LB Adonis Thomas
-Both visited UF last week & Gators lead for Thomas
-Ro trying to finish in December to be an EE
-plans yo commit at the UAAA game
-UGA recruiting Ro the hardest
-Going to AU A-Day

-Staff felt good about Kai Locksley's visit & feels we can be a strong contender
-Staff has a good relationship with his dad who is the Maryland OC
-They are working dad hard
-Kai #1 on FSU QB board and Noles feel they are in it as well

-Natrez Patrick not a UGA lock as many think. Could be UGA or AU.

My note
-FWIW Trent was recruiting Ro to UGA this weekend so it appears AU is not as close to UGA as sources told AUC lat week

class projection by KN

QB: 2 Queen & Locksley
RB: 2 Kerryon and Jovon
TE: 1-2 Wilkerson. If we get 2 then Cox at H-Back
WR: 2-3 McGriff, Jason Smith, & Jayson Stanley
OL: 4 Carr, Kim, Sharp, & Wilson
DE: 2 Marquavius Lewis & Walker
DT: 2 Jauntavius Johnson & Daron Payne (Doesn't like AU's chances w/ Payne but feels AU has best shot at him after JJ of the guys offered. More offers to go out this Spring)
LB: 2 McBryde & Darrell Williams
Star: 2 Sullivan and Atkinson
CB: 2 Bridges and Darius Slayton
Safety: 2 Colbert & Ben Edwards to flip from tOSU

That is a pretty disappointing class for coming off of a SEC championship and a NC appearance. Especially considering the talking point on here that this class was supposed to be great because the staff has had the time to develop the relationship with players.

I think it's funny he doesn't think we will land anyone who we are battling UF for like Roquan, Holland, etc. Neibuhrs inner homer comes out sometimes.

He was not the main culprit but he definitely liked Bama per someone at AHS I trust. Biggest outside the fam influence was Troop.

Yup.

Quick count puts only 5 players in the top 200 on 247.

Though, that class will drastically change as the season unfolds.

this staff is still well behind most of it's rivals in terms of staff continuity... Richt's been at UGA for over a decade... Saban's been at bama for 7 years... Miles at LSU for 9 years... Jimbo at FSU for several years... Muschamp at UF for 4 years... Spurrier at USCe for a decade... Dabo at Clemson for several years.

we're still playing catchup to pretty much every serious program that recruits the state of GA with the exception of Butch at UT.

ETA: i'm not making excuses and I think we'll end up with a top 10 class that has a great shot at being top 5... with another year of 10+ wins and tons of national exposure, and some really good home games for recruiting visits, we're going to finish strong.

I certainly hope the staff breaks late. Not leveling blame against them but objectively speaking we've been pretty far behind in interest and commitments for 2015.

I trust it will end better than KN's prediction.

Making a full class projection in April is ridiculous. A lot of this class is going to depend on how we do this year. They saw what happened last year and if it happens two years in a row - I'm not saying we have to make a NC appearance - but if we end up with a legit playoff chance, I think you'll see a lot of kids that we're that we're battling other big name teams for, edge our way.

To be able to compete with the bama's, uga's and lsu's of the world in recruiting today, we're going to have to prove that we can win big consistently.

Chizik's second recruiting class looked really strong (on paper) and it was said it was because he had the time to develop relationship. Now the talking point is that this staff has not had enough time to develop relationships
