Can someone explain the effect on academic progress ratings after we process one more player? Are we in danger of making ourselves ineligible for the tourney?

Oh ok. I thought you were saying my expectations were too high or something. But no. Thompson was never considered a decent recruit. He was initially a walk-on.
No, no. I just find it funny/exciting how we can now expect to be in contention for some of the best players in the nation. There's nothing wrong with it.

I'm not sure how it works, but I am getting concerned also.

I don't have any idea either, but I do know there's some people on Pearl's staff and also in our NCAA Compliance department that are paid a lot of money to monitor that kind of thing.

We progress to a more talented BB team.

Quite the contrary, it looks as if Pearl is assuring us a deeper run in the tourney. Duh!

APR sanctions are based on a 4 year APR average. APR is calculated by both retention and being in good academic standing.
As long as all our players are in good standing this year, we should be fine.
Transfers in good standing don't count towards our APR

6 but 4 of those spots are taken. We will only have one slot left after Williams commits this weekend assuming everyone qualifies.
