When I made it I had no idea we would even be in contention lol. I need to update it with Williams and Hand though

Good point, haha. It was definetly a pleasant surprise to all of us. Do we have a legit shot at elisha shaw? Haven't kept up with him much.

I knew him pretty well from a few different places and he sucked. I mean he is cool to hang out with but the more you know him the bigger shithead he became.

I respect Chizik for laying down the law with him and getting him to go

He'll be at BCW. If we make a big enough impression on him I'm sure we'll be in the mix.

If we get someone to Big Cat Weekend, we will have a shot with them. Statistically we sign a very high numer of players that attend BCW

Why is Thornton listed as a commit? And as a DT?

I haven't updated it since before Tre Williams committed

And I wasn't paying attention with Thornton. Fixing that now.

Yea, isn't it like 40% of big cat visitors sign?

I know it is some number that is extremely high but don't know a percentage off the top of my head. That's why we allowed Ellitor on the board.

I've heard some of the things they do at BCW in terms of getting top rated players in a room and letting them talk about coming to Auburn and winning together. It was really good recruiting techniques.

Also, they asked people in the Tiger Host program to come up with fun unique games/activites to play so they really seem to be looking for every good idea to use that isn't at other schools

I don't know why but for some reason I just feel good about us getting him. I really wish we could get Carter on campus. I think he is the best dlineman in this class. Hoping Garner can do work again in GA

Garner was at Norcross HS yesterday....extended an invite to all 3 Norcross big time recruits to Big Cat Weekend.

Do we stand a chance at Myles Autry?

I have a buddy whose little brother played or plays at Norcross and runs with all these guys. Next time I'll see him I'll see what he says

I know someone mentioned it earlier, but I'm about to change the rankings/links in the OP over from Rivals to 247. The Rivals guys are head-and-shoulders above the 247 crew, but the website features and 247 composite are too much to overlook.

Yea it looks that way, but BM's theory on LSU probably taking several instate WRs this cycle may still keep him interested. I think he still is one to keep an eye on down the road

Yep...oh well. Maybe if we show we can field a QB this season, we can snag some quality WRs.

People have been saying Williams would commit to LSU over everyone for months, he just needed a solid offer

True. just many thought with all the talent in LA this year it was unlikely the offer would come. However, DW's talent is huge and hard to pass up. Miles was smart to get at least 1-2 years from the kid.

Seems like Cordarelle Patterson 2.0 in terms of can't miss talent. LSU People said he could have applied for the draft and been picked his upside is so good.

Hopefully he ends up more like Mettenburger than Patterson on the production front

I wouldn't put much stock into that. We're on the TideFans of corn dogs websites.

Let's not forget these are the same people who pimped out Ware and Mettenberger to no end.
