1800!

Per Hoke. Thornton says his commitment will be a 8 on the committed scale and he still wants to take more visits.

This dude really is retarded. This should clear up the doubt behind how low his grades are cuz he clearly doesn't think like normal people. I DO NOT WANT. LSU can have him, he'd fit in better down there anyways.

True...committed scale...when the hell did it become a scale.

This shite is over the top. Is the kid stupid or is it a deicsion (a stupid one) to say things like this?

well, he supposedly has grade issues... and he releases a new 'top 5' every two days, sometimes with totally different teams on it...

They should show him the construction equipment Da'Shawn Hand seen this past weekend. Would probably bump him up to a 9.5 commitment.

Bryan Matthews will be at the announcement of Thorton and Williams to erase any further doubt

I don't understand this.

These recruits supposedly don't want anybody knowing where they're going before they announce, yet they (or somebody VERY close to them) are telling reporters which school they're announcing for so said reporters can be there to cover the announcement. Usually everybody knows what school the recruit is picking simply based on which school's reporter(s) are showing up.

If the kid doesn't care about folks knowing beforehand, cool. But this is a terrible way of keeping a "secret."

Is there a high school profile of him? I can dig a 6'3 220 pound safety though. Star position I assume?

Why do people go on rants about teenagers doing things that defy logic? They don't have enough life experience to think logically on a consistent basis. You would better off if you stop trying to figure them out.

Why does this name sound familiar? Did he commit to an SEC school out of HS?

ETA: nevermind...thinking of Donte Moncrief @ OM

Committed then decommitted to Southern Miss out of High school. If you keep up with Alabama high school football you may have heard of him. He was one of the stallwarts of Pratville in their last state championship in the 2011-2012 season. I can't remember if the old staff ever looked at him but he was one of the first recruits the new staff contacted. He was supposed to come to Junior Day 1 but could not make it.

Since Bryan Matthews gave a crystal ball prediction for Auburn as soon as the offer was made I would guess there is no battle.

Safety
Finally recruiting true safeties instead of moving corners to safety like Chizik always did.

I'd love to have a Greg Blue sized safety...someone that brings fear to WRs coming across the middle 20 yards down field.

The 15 yard Hitting a Def Player penalty would be worth getting in thier heads.
