I don't think Davis has the 4.5/40 speed that Evans does to play Star.

My snippet had everything to do with recruiting, specifically SDH.
True but typical Jake banter from others followed it. There are at least 2 Jake threads on the first 3 pages of the Auburn board. That is all I was saying.

Anyone confirm JUCO DT Dalvon Stuckey just committed?

Not yet. Said he committed to Garner but hasn't talked to Gus yet. Expects to do that tonight.

Davis just seems really short to play either LB position. It definitely would be a good problem to have 4 deep at every spot.

Tre Williams is solid and thinks of himself as a younger DC by helping recruit for Auburn.

quote:

“The atmosphere was the greatest part of the game,” Williams said. “The team actually rebuilt that atmosphere this year. Next year it’s going to start off like this and be like this for the rest of the season. That’s just something that I can’t wait to be a part of.”

He said this about the turnaround

quote:

“It really has shown me that I’ve made the right decision,” Williams said. “I’m not going to change my mind because I want to be a part of this Auburn family. The fact that I already feel like I am a part of the Auburn family is an even greater feeling.”

I don't know about Dalvon Stuckey. I've reviewed a little bit of film and he doesn't seem like a top notch JUCO to me. FSU and UM had him commit both in HS and JUCO though so he must have some talent.

Apparently Garner loves him.

He looks solid against the run, fills the gaps nicely. He looks like he'll be a great run stopper.

I think most of us are just spoiled to DTs that are quick up the field and pressure the QB, but that sometimes translates to overrunning the play.

I agree. i want some tackles that stop the run in the middle and let the ends rush the passer. Our run defense has been bad and we need to shore up one thing at a time.

That's the first thing I thought when I saw him. That's what we need.

fwiw, he was #222 in the Top 247 out of high school. 93 ranking and #20 DT and #31 overall in Fla.

FWIW Garner loves him as a pass rusher.

What kind of shape is Stuckey in? Is he physically SEC ready?

Recruits get stuff to start getting in shape early and believe that of they are EE are allowed to go through bowl practice as well
