Didn't he already say he's going to visit LSU? Not sure what the big deal is other than the standard overreactions we get here when it comes to recruiting.

You can call it an overreaction all you want, but he's a Louisiana kid who's liked LSU from the start and has openly talked about still making a decision even though he's committed.

The only thing that I feel good about is having our QB coming back next year, which he talks about in the article. Hopefully that will win out, but I don't feel great about it.

Calvin Johnson played in the triple option in college. If you are talented enough, they will find you. These kids need to learn that.

It is an overreaction because none of the recruits are signed sealed and delivered to Auburn. It's really not difficult to understand their sport. Don't know why it is worth getting bent out of shape when they start flirting with other schools?

If anyone thought he was an Auburn lock because he committed is a silly Aubie, and are the ones who bring comedy to recruiting threads. Sorry for laughing. (Not really sorry)

This is true, but reality is they don't always do that.

By the way Calvins SR yr stats

Calvin Johnson 76 1202 15.8 66 (TD) 15

I myself fully believe Gus would throw to a talent like that. I wish he would come to Auburn, I just don't think he can look past what we are doing this year. I hope I am wrong.

Calvin Johnson didn't play in the triple option, IIRC. DeMaryius Thomas did, however.

Correct. Johnson definitely did not play in the triple option.

Ya I am gonna be honest that article was actually pretty positive sounding for AU. It sounds like he is going to visit LSU one last time to see if there is anything there to change his mind then after that be all AU. I think we will end up landing him especially if we can finish this season as strong as we started. If we pull him in it is gonna be downright scary how dangerous our offense can be in 2014. Hopefully LSU sticks with their pursuit of the freshman WRs and leave us DQ

Worse, he had Reggie Ball as a QB.

I agree with you. Nick getting a full year of prep and/or Johnson. The O Line will be sick (Please stay Dismukes). Our D Line and hopefully some better LB's. Ok slow down still enjoying 2013...

Our coaching staff gets bent out of shape (Casher). Why shouldn't we?

Maybe those are two completely different situations we don't know what's going on.

Is this for real? Are you really equating what we do here to be the same as the coaches of AU football?
Not sure if serious?
