27 TDs w/ 3 INTs.. Not too shabby for high school ball.

He started off a little rough and people were bitching. His numbers are looking pretty fricking good right now though

We're starting to pick up interest (as in, them contacting us) from prospects that wanted nothing to do with us at the beginning of the year.

Yup. Good thing that first game on ESPN was an exhibition game.

Per AUC LINK
Rashaan Evans will UOV Bama this Saturday and Auburn for Amen corner. He will announce his OV dates to Auburn, Bama, and UGA soon. UT or Ole Miss may get the other OV. He has 4 left after OVing UCLA in September.

Are you considering Auburn? — I had a bad visit down there kinda LINK

AUC says he felt he did not get enough attention and did not like his seats. He tweeted he would give Auburn another chance though for whatever that's worth.

No he was just a douchebag who was bitching about Ole Miss losing the whole game. Supposedly the Tigerettes have been trying to figure out who to pair him with because he was an arse to his original one.

In more positive news, Trent Thompson DT 2015, will be visiting Auburn for the DSOR (aka UGA).

Trent Recruiting recap-

UGA is his favorite but he has been extremely high on Auburn everytime he visits (talked about wanting to be a tiger during A Day), self proclaimed "Mama's Boy" and Auburn is only an hour away (compared to 3ish for UGA). Other major player is FSU

Supposedly he has a good relationship with Monty from what is reported.

16 projects, 100% UGA... to say it's a longshot might be putting it mildly...

He definitely is a UGA lean but half those predictions are made based on conjecture. He has stated he grew up a UGA fan, his mom is a UGA fan ergo he must be going to UGA.

He has had extremely positive visits to AU, AU is closer to home and we are doing hot. Don't forget he projects better as a 4-3 DT. This isn't as closed book as people believe

Sean White scouting report per AUC LINK
quote:

OBSERVATIONS

-White has a stronger arm than I recall from the previous times I watched him compete. Is it John Elway strong? No, but he seems to be able to make most -- if not all -- the throws. According to White, his arm strength is an underrated part of his game. He told us he threw a pass 75 yards in practice recently.

-Stats can be misleading. We counted one sure-fire drop, and one "shoulda-been caught." The latter would have been a touchdown. It was a perfectly thrown ball, but the receiver had to look slightly over his right shoulder. At the next level, most would catch it. That would have made White 13 for 20, or 65 percent. A couple other times, he had to get rid of the ball quickly because of pressure. Another throw looked to be off, but the receiver had been knocked off his route, so it was difficult to tell if it could have been a reception.

-Lasers vs. touch. One thing White has a good grasp of -- and this is extremely important -- is knowing when to fire the ball, and when to put some touch on it. This is one of his best traits. He fires bullets on bubble screens and quick posts. But when he needs to dial it down a notch, or put some air under the ball on a fade/flag route, he does.

-White isn't the biggest QB out there but he showed good toughness. The opponent had a 2015 end committed to Florida State, and others that were capable of getting their shoulder into his body. He handled those body shots well.

-Just as we have said all along, White doesn't possess great speed, but he has enough quickness to escape pressure. Actually, what he really has is an awareness of pressure -- when it's coming, and from which direction. When he feels it, he either steps up and throws, or sneaks away from the pressure. On one play that fell apart because of defensive line pressure, he spotted the breakdown quickly and scrambled for a 19-yard touchdown. He isn't Nick Marshall fast. He's more like Danny Wuerffel elusive. It's the type of elusiveness that catches a defense by surprise.

-For the most part, his bad throws aren't that bad. What I mean is that when his passes are misfires, they typically are in areas where intercepting them is difficult. A corner jumped one route, and nearly had a pick. But otherwise, White's off passes were low and out of reach of the defender.

THINGS TO WORK ON

-Adding muscle and bulk. White is not skinny, but will need more "good" weight in college, where defenders are much bigger and hits will be far stronger.

-Getting quicker.

-More patience. White's scrambling ability is an asset, but big plays often come to those that stand in the pocket for as long as possible.

FINAL THOUGHTS

It's hard not to like Sean White. He's not the biggest, fastest or strongest QB, and he doesn't have the strongest arm in the class. But he's smart, he's tough, he's accurate, and his arm is more lively than I think people realize. There are a couple quarterbacks he reminds me of. One is Wuerffel. The other is Aaron Murray of Georgia. That's based on size, physical tools (Murray has strongest arm of the three, Wurffel was surgeon on the field, and toughest QB in the game at the time) and overall makeup, including intangibles. These are tough quarterbacks. Guys that other players like playing with. Basically, winners. Does this mean White will have similar success in college? Well, you can't predict the future. I'm just saying that at this stage, he has those types of qualities. As for his 247Sports rating of 93 (4 points higher than the industry generated 247Composite), I believe this is an accurate assessment, as long-term physical potential is a big factor of how ratings are generated. However, this is only my opinion, and ratings/rankings are a team project. After White's 2013 season film is received, he will get another look by the team, and a final rating will be generated.

David Sharpe

Pos: Offensive Tackle
Ht: 6-6
Wt: 288 lbs
Hometown: Jacksonville, FL

Auburn offered and KN says he is open to our recruitment.

5 star ol

He has FL, FSU, UGA as favorites, but all three have number crunch problems. Auburn got wind of it and are trying to take advantage of it. Sharpe surprised by offer, but happy about the offer.

Why did we offer so late? Seems like the #2 ranked OT should automatically get an offer.

My only guess would be he isn't a great fit for the type of OL we run...but that doesn't really make sense given FSU and Clemson are recruiting him hard. Maybe the staff didn't think we had a shot with him, so they didn't want to waste the man-hours.

He is OV Tennessee this weekend so he'll get to see us play in person.
