Roc was ridiculous. He reminds me of Caddy. I hope we keep him. Amazing that Bama would " slow play" a kid of that caliber.

Yup! You don't give a RB like that to Gus Malzahn. #lethal

Roc was born to play in Gus' offense. I hope he can withstand the bama recruiting onslaught the next few months.

Roc has a career night

quote:

Oxford senior Racean "Roc" Thomas delivered a career night with 414 rushing yards and five touchdowns in a 56-49 win against Spain Park.

quote:

The staggering stuff was Thomas had just 114 yards on 15 carries and one touchdown at the half. He proceeded to run 19 times for 300 yards and four scores in the second half. How did he do that?

Try scoring runs of 65, 21, 20 and 85 yards on four of the next seven Jacket possessions.

12.2 YPC in 6A against a highly regarded defensive staff. (changed to soothe the jimmies of e)

Roc is a beast but Spain Park is not a highly regurded D by any stretch of the concept. They won the weakest region in 6A. They would not make the playoffs if they were in 2 regions and finish no higher than 3rd in 5 other regions. Carver is the last team to make the playoffs from Auburn's region and they will tear Spain Park to shreds in the first round next week on the road.

I wasn't trying to inflate a damn thing. I don't know shite about Spain. I was going off the article

quote:

Thomas was absolutely brilliant. The kind of game that will have his future coaches at Auburn grinning from ear-to-ear when they hear what their future tailback did against one of the top defensive staffs in Alabama led by head coach Shawn Raney.

After reading it again I see it really was touting the staff and not the team. Settle the frick down E. It was just some info in a message board. You really take this shite too serious bro. Take a breather and say hi to your family too.

It was a completely calm post. Nothing to settle down from. I knew you and most do not know much about High School football team wise as far as what teams are good. Since I follow 6A Alabama football very intently I shared what I thought was an accurate representation of the team OXford played. However I did sell Spain Park short some. Before Roc's explosion they only gave up 15 points per game and the high they gave up was 27 before the 56 Oxford put on them.

Pettway seems like a grinder he always has a high number of carries and around 150-180 yards. Is this a product of their offense or does he lack big play ability? It seems like with the number of carries he gets he should be getting more yards. Not knocking him just curious

Yes, I really like Pettway and he gets very little exposure or accolades, but does work. I saw his stats as well.

No worries bruh. I edited and added stuff to my last post that was enlightening. I did not give their D enough cred.

AHSAA.com has the full bracket for all classifications.

St. Paul's will likely face my alma mater in the 2nd round in 5a... Both are probably top 6 teams. SP killed 4a #1 UMS Wright and Ben Russell blew out 5a #4 homewood last night.

27 TDs w/ 3 INTs.. Not too shabby for high school ball.
