Wait... that is not the same thing? I probably shouldn't have started that rumor then.

Sorry about it.

Let's also not forget that Nick Marshall needs shorter interior lineman if he is ever going to try and find a passing lane to use

Let's also not forget that Josh Casher, if he were to sign with Auburn, most likely wouldn't see the field until after Marshall is gone. Jeremy Johnson won't have any issues seeing over any interior OL.

Sean White on the other hand....

with JJ running the show, White's gonna have trouble seeing the field alright...

Barring a Marshall injury the next 2 years (knock on wood) I would not assume JJ will be running the show. Other than some special packages next year neither will have much college experience going into 2015 and both will have a RS year under their belt. JJ will be a RS Soph and SW a RS Freshman. I do predict JJ to be the starter but if SW kills him in the accuracy and ball security department then Gus will not hesitate to start SW. See CT and KB from 2009.

Per AUC Hutch says CGM and CSF are going to his juco game Saturday.

This is likely a live eval. No word yet on the chances of Hutch getting an AU offer.

it's a debate for another thread (hopefully 16 months from now after marshall wins us the SECCG)... but my money's on the guy who will have been here longer and is infinitely more athletic. White will have to make up for those shortcomings with unbelievable accuracy, leadership, and pocket pressence. That will be asking a lot of RS frosh.

Unless Marshall redshirts next year, he's done after 2014. He is a Jr right? As long as that's the case, I'm putting my money on JJ to start in 2015, when Casher would get PT because Dismukes will be here through 2014, unless he goes pro after this year, which I doubt because I don't think a C has ever gone pro early.

Yep. And I wouldn't be entirely surprised to see JJ start over Marshall next year either.

I doubt it. Marshall has looked pretty good despite what some of you on here say and he'll have 13 games under his belt by then. That will be pretty tough for JJ to overcome.

If Nick wasn't such a freak of nature athletically JJ might have a shot but by Spring of 2014 people are going to be buzzing on Nick.

However, IMO, 2015 commit Tyler Queen will be the best of them when it's all said and done.

People seem to forget that the biggest limitationon Marshall s play is his unders tanding of the playbook and offense. We have not been able to run the hurry up offense yet which will provide improved statistics

Keith Niebuhr stopped by Daron Payne's high school today.

Said bama leads, but AU is a close second. He grew up an Auburn fan. Thinks he's similar to Monty Adams. Will take his time on a decision and wants to get back to Auburn for another game this year. It's a Garner vs Cristobal battle for his lead recruiters.

I've heard everyone around him is pushing towards Alabama. We have an uphill climb here.

That being said, him getting to witness guys like Monty Adams, Carl Lawson, and Elijah Daniels playing should help Auburn's cause. Not only are they playing, but they are making impact plays in the games and getting extended time on the field. Meanwhile, guys like Dee Liner are redshirting for Alabama. I think they played A'Shawn Robinson, but we've played more.

Of Johnson, White, and Queen, I think White is the best.

I have no real doubts that we'll land Payne. What'd be even better, is landing Trenton Thompson to go with him.

Would be the sickest interior DL class since Floyd and Easley at UF.

Too early to tell but as of right NOW, Marshall hasn't done enough to lock up the spot for next year.

this right here is a victory in itself... him pushing off his decision and giving us a hard look is huge. Bama was pushing for an early commit.

odds are still in their favor, but the more time he gives us, the better off we are... the whole "people around him" thing will be near impossible to overcome, though.

That's good news for us, IMO. I don't expect Cristobal to be at Bama after this year. He's far too good a coach to be a position coach, even for them. He's only there because FIU fired him too late for him to get a real job offer (and them firing him was a ludicrous mistake). He'll be one of the big names for all the small- and mid-size HC jobs this offseason.

That said, when Payne is a senior he'll have known Garner for a year+, be just meeting Bama's new recruiter.
