According to Clark, the visit helped Auburn.

"It got me a good perspective of what they're trying to do down there," Clark said. "And it was a good game. They fought hard and got the win. There's a lot of good things about that school. It was huge [to make the visit]. I had to take the trip to see what they are looking like. It gave me a lot to think about and learn from. It helped me a lot with this decision."
This is from Ronnie Clark...

I know I should remain skeptical, and I will, but doesn't this bolded area make it sound like Auburn will be his decision? It sounds to me like the visit finally made him see that he wanted to be at Auburn after a lot of thought... I don't know. Also, he says he might announce sometime this week, but either way the decision will be soon. I keep telling myself it'll be Alabama, but I don't think his recruitment will be over either way.

Don't forget the cam robinson angle. Dudes likely headed to bama.

Or he saw us struggle to beat MSU and decided Bama is where he needs to be

Well, yeah, possibly... But I didn't get that vibe from the article, at all...

It'd be nice if we got Clark and LSU got Robinson. Meltdown would be nice.

Unless we beat Bama this year or something crazy happens, I just can't imagine we will pull guys like Clark away.

Jordan Sims to decide next month...

Auburn vs Ole Miss battle, it seems...
quote:

"Right now the teams pursuing the hardest are Florida, Auburn and Ole Miss," he said. "I went to Ole Miss right before school started. We were going to do the Florida/Tennessee game this Saturday, but I am not sure if we will be able to make it.
quote:

"I have seen Florida play a little bit, but not really enough to comment. I have really just watched Ole Miss and Auburn. I am thinking I will make my decision sometime next month."
quote:

"I don't have a leader," Sims said. "I like Ole Miss, Auburn and Florida. I haven't really talked to Alabama since the camp. I know they were going to evaluate my senior season. Right now, I don't know where I am going to go. I do want to decide sometime next month."

Shannon Terry has changed his prediction of Stephen Roberts going to Alabama, to Auburn.

I know AUC says our staff feels good about our chances with Sims but from that article he seems a bit more smitten with Ole Miss.

OL seems like a tough sell for playing time.

At any time if Bama wants to take Jordan Sims they will. I wouldn't feel comfortable with his commitment but hey more power to us if he decides to commit. I feel like he's trying to find a way not to go to Auburn though.. OM bound by my guess.

Bama will not want Sims for anything other than a grayshirt though and I don't even see that happening at this point.

True but they would have to lose a couple of OL commits at this point before he gets in play there. IMO Casher has a better chance of getting a bama offer but his odds on that are long also.

Auburn offered 2014 juco 4* OT Jordan Prestwood yesterday

Arizona Western College
Plant City, FL (Plant City)
Ht: 6-6 | Wt: 310
Has offers from FSU, Cal, Ole Miss, and San Diego St.
Signed with FSU out of high school in 2011
Was granted a release by FSU 4 months after NSD 2011 and transferred to ND.
He then transferred to AWC last fall.
was a top 120 recruit overall and #11 OT in the 2011 composite.
Had offers from AU, FSU, ND, UF, S.Car, and Tennessee

With Blair trending with TAMU at the very least, at this point it would be logical to speculate that the staff does not feel good about its chances with Blair and contrary to reports do want 1 OT in this class. My guess is to provide versatility to the OL in the next couple of years by letting AY move to OG.

Hmmm does this mean the coaches don't believe in Robinson or Miller as the answer at OT? Or does it mean that they want depth b/c Coleman and Young can't provide quality depth? Or that Prestwood is a future draft pick and a can't pass type of prospect worth going after?

Not sure. Remember the staff is telling OT recruits they expect G-Rob to go pro after 2014. The staff could be preparing to do a lot of moving after Reese graduates, especially if we don't get Casher or another C. They could be looking to move Kozan to C plus AY to OG. I wonder if Miller could move to OG if Coleman comes on or we get a stud OT?
