quote:OL is painfully pathetic and QB can't pass worth a shite. And Pettway still does not get more than 15 touches a game. Chad wants to spread the ball around too much. When we were up 13-3 after 1 quarter we should have been up 21-3 as we had to settle for 2 field goals when we were inside the 5 yard line.
Ellitor, how in the world is it that Prattville lost to Spain Park 19-16 yet Pettaway ran for 150+ yards at 10+ ypc?
Is your coach a moron?

quote:Actually we had quality QBs every year under Clark and Dubose since our powerhouse era started in 2001. Believe it or not Roman Harper of the Saints was our QB and was very good in the early 2000s. Larry Smith was Mr Football in Alabama and went to Vandy. Justin Thomas is at Ga Tech now. Sam Gibson signed with LSU although he never made it. And Weedon was our QB the year we beat Spain Park for state and he signed with a D2 school out of high school. We actually had a very good run of QB play from 2001-2011...Oh and I forgot Jalen Whitlow is in the QB mix at Kentucky. 6 quality QBs in 11 years is pretty dang good.
Don't know about this year, but Prattville usually has no QB.

Will Auburn coaches tell recruits not to go to Alabama because they are about to be hit by the NCAA.

Sounds like some commie bullshite. I don't see why you don't hand your D1 SEC recruit the rock when he averages 10+ ypc. I would hand it to him every damn play until they stopped him.
We did that in high school with a rivals 100 player and we won 2 state championships

Per Rivals Kynon on the Bunker:

I caught up with Mobile (Ala.) St. Paul's OC Josh Casher last night. Casher will be in town this weekend for the SEC opener against Miss. St. He is still considering them and talks very highly of Auburn. FSU remains in the picture and he is interested in learning about Miami.
I think it's a three-team race with Auburn having an edge based on familiarity and comfort level. FSU is second and Miami trailing. The school located in Tuscaloosa appears to have the OL class in tact. Ole Miss is a long shot, but you never know.
From my talk with him Auburn is still a major player.

Nothing new in there or from his posts except for Miami being mentioned.

Casher needs to see the light. Reese is leaving. Auburn is going to always have a strong, downhill rushing attack that we dominate with. If he wants to bounce on his feet 2x'ing a DT in pass protection or stovepipe a safety in the running game and look like shite, then choose FSU. If you want to block LBs down the field in the open and get noticed then come to AU. Drop your two nuts Casher and get back to AU where you are not only needed soonest but will be block mf'ers to the ground.

Would we want him at TE or to convert to another position?

Does Casher have a 'Bama offer?
I think it's pretty clear. He's staying in-state to play his college football. Where depends on if 'Bama offers or not.

I think so as well. You can tell he is use to folks trying to paint him into a corner with questions so he is very coy with his answers. I don't bale him one bit either.

Good lord, there are going to be close to 800 prospects in Auburn this weekend. A win on Saturday could cement Auburn in the minds of a ton, and possibly sway the minds of others.
