I think he's trolling to but isn't he from Auburn? If so, number of visits doesn't really tell me anything.

He gave every indication before he released his top 5 that Auburn was his leader. Then he puts us 5th. That's way too obvious, especially since according to Hoke, he told our coaches the weekend before that we were a strong leader. IMO, he wants other schools to not view him as a legacy and Auburn lock and wants to enjoy visits, which he's doing. But when he eventually commits, I'll be shocked if it's not Auburn

well, with his 2 catches for 35 yards, seemsl like he'd fit right in with our TPOS 3-9 players...

Give him a chance. Gus has shown he won't put up with it for long if he isn't straightened up. No matter how good he is.

JMO but I think Bama taking Holcombe has very little to do with Evans and has much more to do with Ronnie Clark. I say this because look at a BOL analyst's scouting tidbit on Holcombe.
quote:

His coverage skills are one of his strengths and he has the speed for strong safety, but he also has a frame that has a lot of room to add mass and could make a very good OLB as well.
That is an exact clone to the Bama scouting report on Ronnie Clark. I think we get him guys.

Wasn't Ronnie Clark visiting Tuscaloosa today, as well? Or is that another date really soon?

According to Chilld (via Twitter), someone on BOL posted that Evans committed on his visit.

Sounds like nothing else has come out about it, so I doubt it's true, but it's certainly something to keep an eye on.

I think it's a troll. Someone posted a thread title "Hearing…" that said Holcombe was flipping. Then one of the guys looks to be taking the same route by making a thread title "Hearing…" and saying Rashaan committed

Well, that was close to 2 hours ago, and still nothing has come out...

Wouldn't surprise me at this point, with him "wanting to get out of Auburn", or whatever. However, let's count his commitment, and he's the 5th linebacker in this class for Alabama, and that's not even counting the possibility of DeShawn Hand or Lorenzo Carter. They are also still after Raekwon McMillan so they could possibly be signing around 7 linebackers in this class, and I just don't see it.

Especially with them signing up to 8 OL. So 15 commits from LB and OL? Would be surprising

Sometime in August. Has not set a specific date yet.

Yes. Have not heard if the visit was changed again.

Well they took four running backs. I wouldn't be too shocked.

Well it looks like the thread just got deleted, so idk what that means. They didn't delete the thread predicting Holcombe flipping, so I'm not sure what to think

Austin W Penny just flipped his CB projection on DaVonte Lambert from us to FL too. They are at 54% to our 15% now. I guess his family couldn't convince him how good Auburn is.

Think of some of the linebackers that chose Alabama over Auburn since Nick Saban was hired...and where they are now (either not playing much at all or gone). Most of these would've definitely, at very least, seen playing time for Auburn in some capacity with other starters. Here are just a couple:

Petey Smith, Johnathan Atchinson (was originally committed to Auburn), Tana Patrick, and Brent Calloway (although, I did not want him).

That is probably orchestrated to some degree.
