Aren't we in a dead period right now? How much time would they have if they really wanted to come after him again?
quote:It's not as in 1 guy is hanging at the other guy's place. They are both practicing at the Offense-Defense Bowl.
Saw a tweet by Deshaun Davis that he is working out with Andrew Williams. That's gotta be a good sign for us
quote:Arm Strength is important too. Danny Weurfel was pinpoint accurate at Florida but could not make it in the NFL because he did not have a strong arm. You need good arm strength to make it in the long run. It just does not have to be elite.
QB height is stressed too much. Everyone wants a 6'5" Peyton Manning, but the reality is Peyton is great because he is accurate, not because he is tall. Drew Brees is barely 6 foot, and Aaron Rogers is 6'2". I don't care about height, arm strength or any of those other measurables. The bottom line is, "can the QB throw the ball accurately"?

quote:They weren't meaningless to the recruits...nor to I as a fan. I like competition and want to see how our recruits stack up to the best in the nation.
I'm just glad all the all star weeks are done and we don't have to worry about injuries in meaningless practices and games.

in all honesty, the games themselves are dumb... they should just run them through a week's worth of drills in a practice setting, do the skill challenges for each position groupings, then call it a day (like the opening)... just my opinion though.

I get what you are saying and agree to some extent, but I think the kids love it to showcase themselves against the top competition in the country. I think it opens one up for a needless injury, but the kids have the ability to decline. These are top players and don't need to go if they don't want to.

i get it for the kids that commit to playing the game... they love it. it's just that the actually game itself is bad football usually... the OLs are usually crap b/c of a lack of continuity... no blitzing... etc.
The only one that has my interest is the AL/MS game, but it's usually pretty bad as well.

Yeah I agree, but I enjoy watching the skill guys and the matchups of the top DB's vs the WR's. I like watching the QB's. I like seeing the rB's vs the top LB's. The line play is sloppy, but it is still entertaining for me.

Justin Hoke just put out a War Room.
As I have been saying since before the Iron Bowl, RaShaan Evans is Auburn's, per my source, and that's pretty much what Justin Hoke reiterated. He will visit Auburn January 17th, and Alabama January 31st. Justin Hoke believes he may privtely or publicly commit to Auburn after the visit. A source also told Justin Hoke that, if today were National Signing Day, RaShaan Evans would be signing with Auburn.
Auburn continues to recruit Ronnie Clark and Cortez McDowell, but getting either is unlikely.
Braden Smith is still trying to get in on a visit, but TCU still leads due to his sister being there.

quote:Exactly. Trevor Knight just tore Bama's defense to shreds and he's only 6'1. If the QB knows how to find passing lanes and throw accurately, the height means almost nothing

According to Hoke in the War Room, Evans will visit AU Jan 17, and Bama Jan 31. May not official to UGA. He's wanted to commit since the Iron Bowl, but his parents want him to be patient. Regardless, he's 100% Auburn at the moment, and Hoke expects him to be solidified, privately or maybe publicly, after his official. He loves the idea of playing with Tre Williams

Per AUR LINK
-sources feel if NSD were todday Evans would be 100% Auburn.
-Descent shot Tennessee Safety commit Cortez McDowell takes an OV to Auburn.

Funny how 3 summaries of the same thing can look pretty different.

I will take another Danny Wuerffel for four years on the Plains.

Tenn fans heads would explode if we somehow flipped him from them.

How dumb do Bama fans look for "wanting" Roberts and Bessent to flip after last night? They need some corners badly and I think Humphrey is there only shot at an upper level corner.
