He's coming in from juco, not straight out of high school. He may very well outgrow it by the time he's done, but he's already 2 years out of high school, and he's probably done growing for the most part. I'm sure Russell will shape him however the coaches plan to use him.
He's also listed at 6'3", 226, which probably means he's an inch shorter and 6 or 7 lbs lighter.
