This is one I'm keeping an eye on for Signing Day. Dude raved about his visit here and has been really quiet ever since. I'm not necessarily expecting a flip on Wednesday -- good luck getting a kid outta Louisiana that LSU really wants, right? -- but I wouldn't be totally shocked either, especially if he doesn't visit anywhere this weekend.

Here's to hoping. Can't ever have too many good linemen.
FWIW a friend who has been sharp on info the past 6 months says AU & Florida are real contenders even though he is committed to LSU

do we usually give OVs to players without offers this late in the game?

I just checked the ESPN 300 Rankings for this class.

#41 Sean White
#52 Rashaan Evans

Would we be this antsy if White hadn't committed yet?

Nope. We have JJ and another good one commited for 2015. Qb is unlikely to ever be a position where we don't have options as long as we have Gus.

I know, I was just pointing out the at least according to ESPN, White's a better player, with all the caveats about position, relative ranking within position group, etc.

Excellent, I told Gus I would leave the "Popcorn" at the seat under the N!

Jeremy Johnson is a freakin' stud. I fully believe he's taking over the job in 2015, White redshirts this year and takes over when JJ leaves. Starting a cycle of dominance no one has ever seen.

We have swung and missed on so many highly rated big linebackers that we are nervous over Evans.

I see Evans making a impact on the next two seasons. Where i dont see White playing the next two seasons.

True, but whether we get Evans or not, this class has met its needs already. He is a luxury recruit, IMO. He's a gamechanger, but his position is filled if we miss on him. I am confident we land him, but won't die if we don't.

He is a game changer and the alternative is having to face him every year.

I hate complacence when it comes to grabbing these in-state ballers. Especially this one who grew up in Auburn's back yard.

The "grew up in the back yard" argument is so stupid. Do you not realize that MOST kids probably would like to experience something unique in college? Maybe get a LITTLE bit away from home?

Maybe. I certainly did. But in the case of great football players we should at least be able to sell a great program that's close to home.

Tuscaloosa/Jefferson County/Shelby County kids certainly don't seem to have any qualms about going to Alabama.

That is not really a mecca for great talent.

AU goes all over for talent...who cares if they went to Opelika or AHS? We get what fits our needs.

Sure that seems simple enough if we were the only great program in the country. Sadly we are not and therefore a big choice of schools for a highly touted player. It just isn't as simple as you seem to be making it.

Is Nick Ruffin gonna play CB or S?

Watching his highlights, he is a hell of a safety...muhfricka likes to hit

Per AUC

*Malzahn and Lashlee met with Roc Thomas and feel as good as they can about his recruitment. He has not officialed anywhere else and has not opened up his recruitment.

*AU still working on plans for Saturday's in-home with Evans.

*AU feels fairl good about Treon Harris. Not overly confident but feel like in it.
The staff will visit Harris on Friday, and should know more following the visit.

*Regarding Myron Burton visiting Vandy: Both Burton and Vandy are saying the visit did not occur.

*AU staff believes it is out of it with Gerri Green.

*Auburn is counting ATH Jason Smith, a 2013 signee as a 2015 commit.

*Earnest Robinson, who had an ok season, (seven catches)at JUCO, will be re-evaluated.

*Markell Boston visited Auburn and attended the AU-Bama bball game, but did not get an official offer. IF Auburn offers the guess is he'd possibly commit.

*Not much talk about Demetrius Kemp.

*The staff does not feel good about Travis Rudolph flipping to Auburn.
