We're going to have guys lining up to fill those positions. I specifically remember a tweet during the coaches conference about a month ago regarding Gus having one-on-one conversations with like 50 HS coaches in attendance. He is very connected in that scene and his success/rise is something that a lot of those guys aspire to emulate.
Our success this past season will only heighten our pulling power.

Imagine coaches pushing kids to Auburn to try and latch on to the AU coaching staff. Could be a first

the newest 247 article is the most worthless article I've ever read
Highlights:
- Evans could pick Auburn but he could also pick Alabama
- Smith is down to Auburn, A&M and TCU
- Williams could pick Auburn or he could pick Clemson
- We will recruit Clark to the end but he is unlikely to flip
- Could Auburn lose a commitment? Possibly, but probably not

Really want Parker and Boston. Parker will be uber-tough to get away from OU but Gus Bus roll errwhere. Kid has talent.
Boston has so much room to grow size and position wise.
And what is the deal with ppl thinking Clark bar is coming to AU.. He been gone.

Has more to do with Evans than anything. He wants Clark to come to AU, but Clark doesn't want to. They're basically recruiting one another. Not saying Evans is committed to AU, but he'd prefer they play together at Auburn.

One of my buddies who has a memberhip to BOL sent me this. Sounds good for the good guys!
"A friend of mine from Enterprise knows Alan Evans (Rashaan's father) very well and we had a lengthy conversation last night. I've debated on whether or not to share what I gathered as I know I will be down-voted to oblivion since it's not what people want to hear, however I figured some may appreciate it:
Auburn is where Rashaan's heart is but his brain has been Alabama's since November.
He said ultimately he expects his heart to win out as he is receiving a lot of pressure from both family and friends to choose the hometown Tigers.
Surprisingly, he said that Alan is the only one in the "inner circle" that doesn't seem to be steering Rashaan towards AU. He states despite what's being said publicly that Alan still has concerns over AU's plans involving Rashaan and how that will translate to his skill set. Alan is a huge fan of Coach Saban and "the process". He also mentioned that Alan thinks it would be nice for Rashaan to get away from home a bit for college so he can develop into a man and hopefully develop into a guy with a long NFL career.
With all that said he stated that Rashaan is more open to AU's plans for him (perhaps teenage naivety?) after meeting with Coach Ellis and that his most recent visit to them was enough to seal the deal for the Barn. He stated that AU guaranteed him early playing time and all but guaranteed he would start his first game there. He states Bama made no such promises but reiterated that they did not plan to redshirt him but any playing time would have to be earned and that he would be given a chance to do so.
I asked him about negative recruiting etc and he stated the only thing he was aware of was that when telling Rashaan he would get early PT that an AU assistant coach told them to look at Rueben Foster and how much he was used this year at Bama if he wanted to see how "other programs" utilize freshmen with similar talent.
With all that said, this is a hell of a class with or without Rashaan and we can all hope that he wakes up and realizes that his brain has been the one with sound reasoning!"

I would be surprised if Evans started his first game. He will get used, but who is he going to start over? Therezie has been too productive.

quote:IMO, it is doubtful that RaShaan Evans still start at STAR, but I could definitely see him being on the field in the same capacity as Carl Lawson, Monty Adams, and Elijah Daniels when they were true freshman. I just wonder if Justin Garrett will be at STAR or WLB (he moved there during the season), and if Robenson Therezie will stay at STAR.

I am hoping that this staff, unlike the last staff, is not afraid to play the freshmen over upper class players. It is imperative that guys like Racean Thomas, Tre Williams, RaShaan Evans, etc... get on the field and gain some experience in some capacity.
