Bessent will OV to Bama in a couple weeks though that I think will put him back to solid with them unless they pickup Humphrey/Tabor. Then he'd be a fool to stay there and would fall back to us.
Bessent is visiting Bama in January and Auburn in a couple weeks for the awards banquet. Auburn and Bama both are trying to get their top prospects to OV for the awards banquet. It's the same day and huge for both teams. It may be telling that Auburn got that weekend over Bama for Bessent.

Does L.Jones committing to Bama help us with any safety prospects?
None that I know of.

Any updates on Rudolph as of late? I haven't heard much about him and forgot if his visit to FSU was good or not.
Nothing new since his coach said Auburn and FSU were too close to call a week ago.

Dead periods are different for EE or is that just JUCO?
They are the same unless a juco signs an NLI in December, in which case there is no dead period for a signed juco.

When is EE signing day?
No signing day for high school EEs.

Any super recruiting junkies know anything about 2016 DT Julian Rochester? He goes to my old school, teammates with 2015 5 star RB Taj Griffin. He balls out every time I see them play and looks college ready as a sophomore.

Visited for the Iron Bowl, KN from AU247 had quotes:

"It was incredible. This had to be the best ending of a game I've ever seen. Ever. It was crazy."

"It was crazy loud. I was kind of thinking, 'It's Alabama -- he might make this kick.' I was getting upset. But the next thing I saw, I saw him come up short and I saw [Chris Davis] catch it. I jumped up, and the next thing I know he scores."

On having offers from Clemson, USCe, and UT:
"I'd like to have one [from Auburn] -- that would be nice,"

"They showed they had the fight to win. When Alabama took the lead, I hoped they didn't take over. Auburn just kept on fighting and fighting."

"The coaches just talk about how great the school is. I'll probably [visit again soon]. It's not far from home, it's easy access. I want to learn more about them. Maybe even take a tour of the school soon."

Keith Neibuhr and the quotes are from 2016 DT Julian Rochester.

AUC notes LINK

-Bessent torn between AU & Bama. ran on the field after the Iron Bowl. As posted earlier a source thinks it's 51%-49% AU. AU is winning over the family. (anyone who follows recruiting knows that's a deciding factor more times than not) The Bessent's like that it really is a family thing with AU evidenced by Garner & Craig coming back to coach. AU has sold possible early PT well to KB.
-AU thinks it did a good job with it's presentation on Raekwon McMillan's OV. He has concerns about us already having young LBs on roster. AU does not know where it stands with Kwon. Neither do Bama, Clemson, & tOSU for that matter.
-UGA still feels they are in it for Dontavius Russell. They are and have told DR they will recruit others as a safety net. Niebuhr considers that significant on where things stand.

They have to sign the LOI. Just ask Alex Collins about it

Did he see the garbage production they put on the field though is the question?

What is exactly does he mean by significant? Thinks that they don't believe they will get him since they are putting up safety nets?

Keith mentioned Cam Toney as the young MLB RMc had questions about.

IMO, he goes to Bama but hey, what do I know?

If he's worried about the depth chart and has any brain cells at all bama is the last place he would look.

in my opinion, I think he's just trying to figure out his top schools and its just building his concerns for each school so he can separate them. We have a big advantage being closer to home. I think when he spoke on auburn the first time it was because we had not established a winning record yet and he was unsure. the only thing we've heard from him is about the middle linebacker depth, I'm sure he enjoyed 95 percent of hIs visit and sees our depth chart as well as bama's. we haven't heard anything from him positive or negative Since His visit. Ohio State has a freshman middle linebacker behind the junior starter right now and are bringing in four more linebackers this class, 3 committed right now and and are in it for a couple more middle Linebackers. remember auburn only has two slots for linebacker, but I think we gave him a lot to think about and that's why is being quiet

It's interesting RM is concerned about our young depth at MLB but not Bama's. Who would get your attention more Toney or Reuben Foster? And I'm sure Bama has more young LBs in the mix. We're desperate for big time MLBs. Don't we only have Frost & Toney at middle right now?

Part of it is that we have 2 true LB spots as opposed to 4 LB spots that bama can sell. Their Jack position is usually a LB/DE hybrid, which McMillan isn't, but that's still 3 spots vs 2, and we're relatively deep at LB next year, including Williams and Davis coming in.

This is interesting.

Granted we have fewer LBs in our scheme, but if our "young" LBs were that talented, it wouldn't take much for them to start over Holland or Frost.

Not saying we won't get some more top-tier LBs in this class, but we seem cursed with our LB recruiting. Tre Williams is the only instant-impact LB we're going to bring in in what seems like an eternity.
